Ratings for Dr. Roozena Musa
Never go to this doctor unless you opt for a C Section by yourself. We felt pushed throughout the pregnancy and never listens to patients view. I respect doctors advice but in return the doctor should be accomodating to patient requests too. For our 1st pregnancy we got induced well before the due date for the reason (no point in keeping the baby inside) and were rushed for C section. When mid wife and we were ok to wait she insisted that she cannot guarantee what will happen to the baby if we wait and don't go for C Section. Worst advise and not very responsible. It felt to us like she needs to go finish off with delivery and go somewhere.
I had a horrible experience. Needed to have a caesarean , post caesarean section I had an Ilius as negligence shown by the Doctor as my constipation (common post surgery) was not addressed (i.e. addressed 5 days post op and it was too late, bowel perforated and infection already started). As a result my bowel was perforated and I had to have a bowel resection 7 days after the caesar (2 surgeries in one week) while looking after a newborn. I only hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I also experienced everything else others have mentioned below in terms of being rushed during appointments, not remembering my husbands name, nor how to pronounce my name correctly, and contradictory advice at every appointment (compared to advice provided at prior appt). I hope this info helps someone so you never experience what I had to go through. It was life threatening, extremely traumatic as you leave your life and trust in your Doctor's hands.
I would never go back to her again !!! Get second opinions on all surgery she recommends and don't expect her to listen or care . Worst doctor I have ever encountered in my life , wish I had never set foot in her office let alone her operate on me
I had my DD thru her. She talks nicely but always in a rush. At times she was late and will not give sufficient time for our consultation. I was very much looking forward for natural delivery. But she gave me a date n said i will b induced. The reason was baby has grown up n there is no point in keeping her inside. I was not convinved but still went for induction. After 5-6 hours of labour pain n having epidural (chosen by me) for another 6 hours she said C sec. However i said i want to wait n midwife too said that we can wait, but she just said "not sure how baby will be later". We didnt wanna take chance so we had gone for Csec.. She even started talking about doing Csec when i was 34 weeks. My baby was fine, no breech etc. When i went to her after my bub is born the first thing she said "your next chance of natural delivery is only 25%". Would not go to her again as i m looking for VBAC delivery
I am currently seeing Dr Musa and I cannot fault her. I had a completely different experience from the other reviews. She was lovely to my husband asked us all about how we were and the only times she has been late has been when she has been in unplanned surgery. Seeing her has been a pleasure and I always feel better after seeing her as she answers all my questions and puts my mind at ease. I've not had the baby yet but so far she has made my experience of being pregnant extremely positive. Personally I highly recommend her and will definitely be visiting her for future pregnancies.
Initial consultation was 1 hr late... As she was late only spoke with me for 10 mins despite charging full price....then said we could do full consult next time. Advice was ok - and helped me in the end but couldn't help thinking that she wanted to catch up on her day and would thus deal with me later. Support staff were very good though
Initial obstetric appointment a complete disappointment. Didn't even ask partner his name. Entire appointment took 10mins despite being the initial obstetric booking. Very impatient and couldn't wait to get us in and out the door. Ended up changing to a well known Obstetrician in the area who is courteous, respectful and always has time for us.
