Ratings for Dr. Alex B. Bodenstab
He employes perhaps one of the rudest nurse practioner that I have ever encountered. She has no time for patients and makes it clear she feels she is overworked etc. Everything seems a bother to her and she does NOT listen to what the patient has rmto stay. Awful experience, terrible pain and no compassion.. stay away.
My mother had a hip replacement at age 90 and recovered well. She gets around better than others who are much younger. He spent almost 45 minutes with her getting to know her, explaining the surgical process and rehab. The staff was professional. She was in so much pain prior to the surgery she lost interest in going anywhere as it was too painful to walk and she didn't want to be pushed in a wheelchair. Over 3 years later and she is still walking with ease, no pain, no limp and enjoys outings and Zumba class.
Left him because his staff is sooooo RUDE! He's good but the time you spend with him is so little. The time you spend trying to get the correct paper work , appts and prescriptions is unacceptable. There aren't enough competent people and then they are rude to you and you are a captive audience.
Months after a knee replacement this guy kept saying to come back in a month, it'll be fine. He claims to LISTEN to his patients? Not at all!! His Nurse Practitioner (Brackin) speaks and he follows. Whatever she says he repeats back like a recording, WHY? Even though he may do the most knee replacements in Delaware, he needs to know what went wrong if there is a problem. He didn't and it didn't even appear he cared! If everything goes fine GREAT, if not you are in trouble! After about 7 months of pain he said " I think you are loosing faith in me". YEP! A Vascular Dr, Family Dr, Physical Therapist and Infectious Disease Dr. showed much more care and concern for this very painful knee. After almost a year and a half of pain I had it replaced a SECOND time at Rothman.
