My experience with Dr Racherla is she is a very pleasant woman who listens carefully to what you are saying. She does seem to make snap judgements about who you are. I was cut off medications that my former (long time) doctor and I had taken years to keep balanced with no offer of alternate solutions. Drugs that were used occasionally and with careful consideration. She then proceeded to ask questions that could only mean she thought I was abusing drugs. If she had bothered to read my file she would clearly see that is not the case at all. I felt offended. Her responses to other difficulties made it abundantly clear she felt I was lacking in intelligence and needed other interventions. To say I was shocked is an understatement. Her solutions seemed so extreme. Her office is run out of a Super Store and I am sure she sees many marginalized patients with lots of problems. I am not one of them. I appreciate she must be very careful in this regard. My experience was not one of respectful communication where the patient is a partner in their healthcare but of pigeonholing and authoritarian decision making. On the upside she is thorough and does order up tests. If her present condescending attitude persists I will be looking elsewhere for someone who can grasp who I truly am.

I was concerned after reading the 2 ratings here but for me they were unfounded. She is taking over for my Dr. and I found her to be very helpful. She was 15 minutes late but that's not bad for a Dr. She took time to review my issues and listened to what I had to say. She targeted an issue I have been avoiding and has me taking further tests and in two weeks we will move forward on the test results. So far so good, hopefully my experience will last. She is stepping into some pretty big shoes with my original Dr.'s retirement.

This is a new doctor. She does tend to ask a question and then interrupt you when you are answering her. She also tends not to take into account health problems that have already occurred and link them to the problem you are seeing her for. Hopefully, she will improve with time. I was not too impressed. I waited half an hour beyond my appointment time and when I left, she said I was to make a 15 minute appointment to see her in four weeks, which I hope will be on time then.
