Ratings for Dr. David A. Landis
He's a smart guy, and he's typically a friendly guy, but there have been instances where he gets a little full of himself, and he starts acting a bit pompous and discourteous. He gets that way mostly because 95% of the time, he's a great guy and makes his patients very comfortable, all the while actually helping them get better, but if you happen to catch him on an off day, it's just not particularly pleasant having to deal with his ego. Otherwise, I can't imagine a better, more well-suited pediatrician.
Dr. Landis is very knowledgeable and cares about the whole person/family. He got back to me very quickly when I called in with something.I agree with the person who wrote about the triage nurses. They are rude and condescending. I have had to complain about them several times over the years.
This doctor is ok, but we left the entire practice because it was like a factory. Way too busy, never saw our own doctor, but we left mainly because triage nurses on the telephone were extremely rude and I could barely muster up the guts to call the place.
He's punctual, open-minded, and honest. He seems to understand that kids are more than what meets the eye--willing to discuss options. Usually doesn't seem rushed--willing to answer multiple questions. His group practice also allows you to almost always see your PCP, not just somebody else in the office.
