Ratings for Dr. Darina DeSouza
Definitely the best doctor I've ever seen in my life, excellent bed-side manner, very compassionate and engaged in the situation at hand. I wish I could see her in a private practice. She's young and energetic, highly intelligent and encouraging of the family's role in managing the illness. I would recommend that people travel great distances just to have a conversation with this doctor. All in all, excellent experience with her!
we are a family with a schizophrenic patient. shes does not care about her patients at all and has poor knowledge of what Schizophrenia actually is, shes does not follow up or care about if the patient will come to her office or not when she schedules them. to me that is not a caring doctor. she does not keep her promises either!.. her patient consultations are very quit prescribes a new dosage and lets them go, does not address their needs and family complaints..wish i can put her in our family shoes so she can see how it is to deal with a schizophrenic patient. i will report this doctor and hopefully get a new one that will care and listen to patient/family needs...not just prescribe higher or lower pill dosages.
Compassionate and caring. Works with patient and family to develop strategy and better fit a prescription. Observant and perceptive. I fell very lucky that Dr Desousa was my doctor at Oakville hospital.
She is by far the worst doctor I have ever had experience with. She is judgmental and rigid. She does not listen to the patient but rather seeks to validate her initial perceptions of the patients by gearing her "interview" in that direction. She shows no empathy whatsoever and if one questions anything she says she is defensive and harsh.
Very intuitive and knowledgeable. Gives helpful recommendations.
