5 years ago I had Endometrial Ablation and removeal of several cysts. He was very responsive to listening to my issue, surgery went well. He told me I would never be able to have children, which was fine because I didn't want any. Six months later, I was pregnant. He tried to talk me into an abortion, said I would miscarry or the baby wouldn't make it past the first 24 weeks, said the baby would be abnormal not having all its limbs or be autistic. He really had me scared. I almost listened to him, about the abortion, because I was so scared. After I heard the heartbeat, I couldn't do it. I was about 4 weeks pregnant. He sent me to a high risk doctor in Roanoke, which I loved! My baby was the most looked at baby for 2008 by her. BUT She turned out beautiful, all limbs, no autism. I'm SO glad I didn't listen. I'm glad I choose to be a mom, I love her!

He is caring and does make you feel comfortable. I'm not 100% sure he understands everything (although I'm a complicated patient), since he seems to change his answers from time to time, but I'll stick with him for now.

I went to Dr. Young when i moved into the area because he was in the same office building as my GP. He is nice and knowledgable. His office staff is easy to talk with and get ahold of. He made me feel very comfortable during exams and gave plenty of helpful advice.

Dr.Young is the most uncaring doctor I have ever met. Six years ago I had my 1st miscarriage. I was a patient at his practice and had been for years. The night of my miscarriage, I called him and was told that unless I was soaking 2 pads an hour he would see me on Monday and hung up. This was Sat.night. After several hours of severe pain, I called again and he never responded. I was finally called back from a different doc who told me to get the the hospital ASAP. By that time I was already hemorraging and had to have emergency surgery. I never heard from Dr. Young again. For the record, the only reason I ever went to him to begin with is because he performed my mom's hysterectomy. She had ovarian cancer(thankfully caught in time). While she was in the hospital, he looked at me and said "you need to get a baseline CA125 because of this history." When I went to see him the first time I reminded him of that. He looked at me like I was crazy and responded "we don't do that." He is also $$
