Our child saw this doctor in the ER for a high fever 104.5-105F which he had been having for 6 days. We waited overall 8 hours at McMaster's children's hospital to find out he had a simple throat infection (however severe) which he couldn't diagnose as strep or not. He di not read my sons file as he questioned us later why he was on antibiotics when we mentioned that on discharge (we had a LENGTHY conversation with the intern as to why we had antibiotics). He didn't want to address the stomach & leg pains. Told me that the persistent cough our son has had for 6-9 months is "normal" and not his concern because it's chronic...For the first time I was appalled at the level of care we received at the children's hospital. He drew blood on our request & asked us what he would need to do to make us "feel comfortable to leave". So he was basically saying- he has a throat infection thats it the other things don't matter so what do i need to do to get you out of my ER?!& son still has high fever
