I had a concussion over the weekend. Made the soonest appointment I could. Left work two hours early and travelled 40 minutes to get there. I felt pretty dizzy still by the time I got there. I was 15 minutes late and he told his assistant to tell me to turn around and go to urgent care because I was late and he was leaving. I get when your shift is over and the fact that I was late but where is the compassionate, the humanness? I guess after seeing so many people you become desensitized and cannot care about everyone but I found this very rude and unprofessional. Wouldn't the right thing to do for a head injury if the patient mentioned feeling lost and dizzy would be to make sure they can even make it to another building? I hope you do not do that to someone with a more serious condition .
