Ratings for Dr. Lisa C. Dimedio
I had been searching for a new PCP since moving to the area. I finally found out about Dr. DiMedio after researching docs in the area for quite some time. I am so glad I went with her! She is such a sweet and friendly doctor. Made me feel comfortable and welcome. Did a routine check up, listened to my concerns, had me go for bloodwork just to make sure everything looked good. She let me know the office does blood in-house and suggested I go on the following Saturday to avoid a wait. (She was right, I got in right away). At the end of the appt she even hugged me. I will definitely continue seeing her.
I have found over the years and to this day that Dr. DiMedio is a very kind and very caring Doctor. I see no change in her care for patients since Underwood Hospital became Inspira Hospital. I was a patient at Inspira Hospital last week and Dr. DiMedio gave me the utmost in care and had the utmost in compassion. I would strongly refer people who needed a Doctor to call her and ask for an appointment....
Dr DiMedio was great when I first started seeing her, but then her practice became affiliated with an area hospital and it all went down hill. She sent me for blood work, I received a call from the nurse that she wanted to put me on medication and then go for more blood work. When I said I wanted to see her, the nurse said she would check with the doctor and get back to me. NEVER DID. I called several times to make appointment and I couldn't get one because she was too busy and I guess my issue wasn't important (My right leg and arm are swollen and she has known but it's not important to her). When my husband went to see her recently for some issues, he mentioned how upset and disappointed I was so she said she would call me. She left a messages on my husband's cell that she had tried calling me, but I had Not one missed call from her on my cell or at home. She lied. When she finally did call me a month later and three months after my blood work and my requests to see her, she wanted to know "what's up? It's late and I want to go home to see my husband". Why call me if you don't have the time or don't want to hear what I have to say. I found that rude and awful bedside manners. She is not very caring to the needs of her patients. I am looking for a new doctor and will be switching soon. The staff is not courteous at all, a nurse told my husband that she didn't get paid enough to let him know the results of his tests. And if you stand at the sign-in window they tell you to go sit down, they will call you when they are ready. Everyone can tell that they are not happy to be at work, but if you work with the public, you need to put your feelings aside and treat patients with respect and be courteous.
Very friendly in beginning for me also my husband an i both go there an one of the girls who answers the phone is always rude! We told Dr about it an she said i have a wonderful staff. Ha she didnt care about what we said. An then she gets mad if my husband requests his monthly medication one day early as he works alot an some months the day its due he has work an he has to leave for work at three am!! When he went in one day to explain this she gave him some attitude an said i have alot to loose lol he said for me asking for my medicine one day early? She said your other Dr doesn't even think you need this medicine(which by the way he's been seeing her for over a year now and was diagnosed with what he has since he was thirteen!)he laughed an said what i was on a higher dose at his office!?? An why would she still treat him for over a year on meds ? She's just quacky an can turn on u in a minute !!
Called three times with sore throat, trying to get in to see her,all three times she called in antibiotic, not wanting to see me. Three weeks later and still sick, finally got in. Misdiagnosed for three weeks - had thrush which is aggravated by antiobiotics. Just another NONCARING MONEY-ORIENTED doctor. Very disappointing.
Dr. DiMedio is a great doctor. I would not trade her for the world. She make you feel like you have been friends for years. The best thing about her is she really listens to what you have to say. And acts on what you are saying instead of just"blowing you off" like some doctors can.The office staff is one of the best I have every dealt with, very kind and cheerful. She is and always will be #1 to me.
I have seen Dr. DiMedio a number of times over the past year and she is like a breath of fresh air. When specialists keep an arm's length, Dr. DiMedio is there to fully support you. If your specialist is far away, she will provide extensive support locally for you so you don't have to drive, in pain, miles and miles to pick up a prescription. Her demeanor is very soft and caring, and she is very family-style. I recommend her to everyone I speak to with regards to doctors. Her staff is friendly and available and both the doctor and her staff are quick to return calls or call you when necessary. Go see Dr. DiMedio!
After searhing for years to find a doctor I could build a rapport with I found Dr. Dimedio. She is amazing and spent an hour and half with me. She is thorough, compassionate and caring. She took her time and even called me at home with test results. She is a wonderful doctor. Thank you Dr. Dimedio you have restored my faith in healthcare.
