The doctors office sent me an incorrect billing without both of my insurance plans (both my own and my spouses) having been billed. I called and asked for a corrected bill to pay. The somewhat snippy answer by the person on the phone was for me to pay the new dollar amount that should be owed. Knowing this not to be the correct way to proceed, I said to her that she needed to bill my secondary insurance and send me a new corrected bill, not what she "said" it to be. They sent me a new bill and it says on the bottom of it the NEW amount is past due. That is not correct. The CORRECTED amount was corrected from their ERROR, therefore it is not past due. It is merely due. I will not use her again based on this office practice. I choose where I went for my surgery, I was not sent there.
