Ratings for Dr. Wiplove Lamba
Always late for appointments (up to 45 minutes). Can't remember what he recommended to do from one appointment to the next. NEVER has reviewed my chart and background. Yawns through sessions. Wants to play psychiatric " process games" rather than simply listening. He may be a specialist in addictions but knows NOTHING about chronic pain patients.
Dr. Lamba has been a lifesaver for our family. My daughter had been on narcotic painkillers for 18 months and had literally no help from any of her doctors to try and get her off of them. This doctor took a real interest in her and helped her off of the pain medication with very few withdrawl issues using suboxone to help. We were at the point that we never thought she would be free of this medication. He listened to her, gave her and us really good advice and was available whenever we needed him. We thank our lucky stars to have found him.
Too early to tell where his early experience will lead. In time I believe he will be very good in assisting patients. Experience counts in this field. He has access to all of CAMH resources for "back-up". He is eager to help. Good listener and has insight. Specializes in Addiction Medicine. This can be a long process for someone with addiction or a person wanting to withdrawal from long term, over-prescribed drugs from their GP. A word of caution with CAMH; if you feel uneasy with your assigned Doctor, ask for another. Not all Doctors are dedicated/experienced in private practice, Hospitals including CAMH. That said, if you or a loved one needs help and cannot afford private, this is the place to start.
