Because of Dr DeRubeis perserverance I am finally being treated for my brain anuerysms. In my opinion she is an amazing Physician who in my eyes has saved my life. She has taken such good care of me and referred me to the best surgeon anyone could ask for. She is a five star all the way
I had no choice but to see this dr. She was a passive doctor who don't seem to have the doctor's care to look afte a patient. When i saw her i think it was the end of her shift. I was complaning all kinds of pain, cold and discharge in mg eye. She told me its all from just a cold. Im just not satisfied. And i still feel awful sick
What a waste of time! I've been experiencing a lot different issues with my body such as numbness in my one foot, numbness in my arm, a tremor in my hand, numb spots in my thighs as well as my balance has been off feeling like I'm going to fall over with no dizziness. So, my family doctor recommended me to see a neurologist and that is how I got to this "doctor". A lot of my problems have progressed since I broke my back a couple years ago. So when I got to Dr. de Rubeis, she sat me down, asked a couple questions, checked my eyes, asked me to walk back and forth in a line a couple times, close my eyes and stand straight, and checked my reflexes all to come to a conclusion that I have a inner ear problem. My whole appointment I waited three months for was a whole 12 min long is just a "inner ear problems"!?!?? She didn't even check my ears which , I already had my ears checked by another doctor and all is fine, and to be honest, a inner ear problem doesn't cause numbness in my limbs or zapping sounds in my head as I walk. When I asked what I could do she kind of avoided the question and gave me her business card and said no follow up needed. This doctor made me feel like another number added to her pay cheque and like a patient with an incurable illness that she had no interest in helping but pushing me put the door. She will NOT be seeing me again not would I recommend her!! She isn't worth my time and be cautious of you decide to see this "Doctor". No wonder I was the only one in the waiting room.........
I have met with 3 neurologists and a Naturopathic doctor before meeting Dr. De Rubeis in regards to my debilitating migraines. I would get, on an average two - three a month, and they would last three days each time. There was not a single medication that worked for me, including Zomig and Imitrex, a medication that did not agree with me and produced side effects. I met with Dr. DeRubeis 3 years ago she listened to me and we decide to try a preventative medication. It has been three years and I feel like I have a new lease on life.
I have been suffering from daily migraines for 2 years. I went to see her and she didn't ask me very many questions. She didn't seem interested in figuring out the actual source of my migraines. Just did some minor physical tests and gave me a daily preventative pill. It took all of 20 minutes. Not what I was expecting. I will not go back to her. I want someone who is truly invested in getting to the root of my problem, not pushing drugs on me.
