I have been a patient at Housel Dermatology since November, and I couldn't be happier that a found such a great practice to continue yearly skin checks with. I am a person that is covered in moles & spots of concern & I'm sure I can be quite over the top at times about worrying when I shouldn't. Doctor Housel answers every question I have with detail, explanation, and shows true concern. He is extremely patient, very personable and extremely knowledgable of his field. He has put me at ease, called me after surgical appointments to assure that I was doing well and didn't any questions or concerns for him. Doctor Housel and the entire staff at Housel Dermatology have provided me with excellent experiences every visit. I have referred family members and friends already and will always refer others to Housel Dermatology.

I am a patient at Housel Derm. I drive from Rochester to Liverpool to be treated. I have a history of skin cancer in my family. My previous Derm in Rochester found a suspicious spot and referred me to a plastic surgeon to be treated. I did some research through Roswell and found the Dr Housel is a MOHs surgeon and I made the decision that I didn't want to mess around going back and forth as skin cancer moves fast and I need to be in the best care. I was scared to death and very OCD. He sat me down answered all my questions and I appreciated that he never made me feel silly. He was actually quite comforting in what I felt was a very scary part of my life. It disturbs me that someone one wrote that he was " unapproachable"...it makes me wonder if they were actually a patient at the office?? I go for my skin checks every 3 months as I am " high risk". I have been to the office at least 3 times and have referred family, friends and colleagues.

I was referred to Dr. Housel for Mohs surgery on my nose. I was very impressed by his excellent surgical skills. I would feel comfortable recommending Dr. Housel to anyone that needs surgery for skin cancer. He put me at ease from start to finish. Dr. Housel even called me that evening to see how I was doing. He goes above and beyond.

Dr. Housel is a very caring and knowledgable doctor. The office has only been open since last July and my entire family has been seen in the practice. He fully answered any questions or concerns that I had. I made sure to book my appointment for next year. My entire experience during my visit to this office was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Housel to any of my friends.

This doctor is extremely unapproachable. Once you tell him your concern you will not have an opportunity to talk to him. He over talks and puts down every concern you may have. The doctor has a persona that he is the professional and you have no right to question anything he says. I left there with my concerns in more question, no care given, and upset with my PCM for referring me to him. Do your research and find a doctor that has concern for his patients first and his professional achievements last. Seek care somewhere else.
