Ratings for Dr. Ralph Mobbs
Incredible. Highly recommended. Spent time reviewing my condition for a second opinion and presented my options. I selected a less invasive procedure and it was performed the next evening as there was an opening. Recovering on day 3 feel like a new man already.
Dr Mobbs cares more about getting patients through the door, taking their money, then hands you over to his staff for follow ups. First and last time I seen him was on my initial consult. His registrar seen me the day after surgery, his staff member Kaitlan has consulted with me since. No follow up care WHATSOEVER from Dr Mobbs
Very disappointed !! After having surgery in June, I am veery disaponted that Dr Mobbs doesn’t even have the common decency to follow up with his patients. Any concerns, questions or follow up appts you are seen by his practice nurse Kaitlan. I’ve see Dr Mobbs once only in initial consult and haven’t seen or heard from him since. He performed the surgery not his staff, I feel like he takes your money and runs
Went in with disc bulge at l5/s1 and was told there was not problem and go see a hip specialist. I then went to another neurosurgeon for a second opinion, went in for surgery and have had no problems since. Dr mobbs wouldn’t even see me for a follow up to tell results of my nerve conduction study, instead leaving me a voicemail and telling me if I wanted to discuss it, it would be another 300 on top of the 500 I already paid to get a referral. Unprofessional, look elsewhere
About 10 years ago, I suffered my first migraine, with the xray showing slight degeneration at C3/4. Wind ahead 5 years and I had severe degeneration and impingement between C3 and C6 as well as degeneration occurring throughout my Lumbar Spine. I am every grateful to my Specialist here in Canberra who referred me to Dr Mobbs. The following 5 years were not pretty... 2nd and 3rd opinions (by quite notable Sydney Neuros - who could only suggest fusion of C3/C6 and S1/L3) and every treatment under the sun to avoid the knife. I spent 50% of these last 5 years on medical leave. Finally in late 2016 after all else failed and I started loosing function in my upper limbs the decision for surgery was no longer when. Dr Mobbs performed fusion at C3/4 and replace C4/5 and C5/6 with mobi-C disk replacements - the result - unimaginable ! No pain and better mobility - couldn't have asked for a better result. The only "down" side was with all the cervical pain gone, the lumbar pain reared with vengeance. Just had to wait a year (they don't like you having too many generals within 12 months if it can be avoided..) before we tackled the Lumbars - ALIFs A1/L4 and a TDR at L3/4 performed 3 weeks ago - again a wonderful result thus far. Yes, when you have multiple levels performed on your neck, the most uncomfortable area is your throat post op and for Lumbars, its the your abdomen that unfortunately has to get jumbled a bit - just a few weeks of discomfort and then the world is truly your oyster. I cannot express my gratitude for the brilliant work of Dr Mobbs and his dedicated team at Neurospineclinic . I found Dr Mobbs' to have the highest professionalism and his personal and sincere desire to ensure the best long term result you can achieve. My only bane is that he's and his wonderful team (Kath, Kerry, Anika and Kerry) are not here in Canberra! If you are suffering from any spinal disease or injury and you don't consult Dr Mobbs and his team, you are balmy!! JP ACT
A two and a half year super patient doctor relationship. Followed by medical intervention for disc replacement and fusion at two levels L4/L5/L5/S1. Two years post-op. I'm a new man as well as husband and father. A generous and sincere man along with his team. Like the best business organisations and professional sporting clubs. Their goals are to be better year on year, season after season. This is the way Dr Mobbs runs himself. He has taken my care needs physically and emotionally with extreme precision. Always surprised and refreshed covering off post surgery reviews and any questions I have. Brilliant man on many fronts. Always keeps you in the loop by dicta phoning in front you his further plans or goals you both have. Then sending you the info that your referring Dr. receives as well as to you. High levels of chronic pain is no way to live. Thank you Dr. Mobbs and Neurospineclinic, forever grateful........A.S
I recently underwent back surgery which was performed by Dr Ralph Mobbs at The Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. The results have been amazing. Prior to the operation I had severe pains in the buttocks and legs. I had pins and needles in my leg and could stand for only short periods of time. Due to stenosis throughout my lumbar spine the operation involved multi levels and the surgery was lengthy. The result has been fantastic and I now have no pain. I can walk and stand pain free. I was able to walk without pain as soon as I woke following the operation. I have had no need for pain relief medication. I am able to stand up straight and I am walking now with a straight back. I would encourage anyone with painful back symptoms to consult Dr Ralph Mobbs for advice. Dr Mobbs is very professional and he took the time to phone me personally to explain what my surgery would involve. Dr Mobb's staff are also very approachable and reassuring. Thank you again - L.C.
I want to say thank you to Dr. Ralph Mobbs and his team from the bottom of my heart for all their dedications and devotions in changing my life, for 20 years i have endured a condition called ankylosing spondylitis, the amount of pain both physically and mentally had lead me to isolate myself from society and depression. My life has slowly changed around even after my first consultation with Dr. Mobbs, his kindness, generosity and professionalism had given the confident in making the biggest decision of my life. It'd been 8 months since my open back surgery to correct my spine and i am now almost fully recovered. My life have improved so much in the past 8 months that i'd even forgot about having AS. I don't think I can ever thank you enough to all the doctors and nurses at the Prince of Wales private hospital, the works they've done is nothing less than a miracle, they have helps changed so many lives and still continue doing so everyday. I'd felt truly blessed to have met Dr. Ralph Mobbs, he'd given me a second chance to live my life and i'm so ever grateful!
