Ratings for Dr. Andrew Parrent
Dr. Parrent will be involved in my surgery for epilepsy. So far in one appointment I can tell that he is very polite and knowledgeable. I am an artist and if he is successful to treat my epilepsy, I will make a portrait of him and present it to him as a thank you :) I also request people not to leave a negative rating or comment just because he or his staff was not polite. You guys must understand that these comments can put someone in confusion. You should also understand that his job is not something that you or me can understand, so please dont show your stupidity here, he is a neurosurgeon, better than a God!
Dr. Parrent was able to give me my life back after years of epilepsy poorly treated with medication. The team at LHSC were able to offer me more than just medication to treat epilepsy, and 1 year on after surgery I am applying to university again and got my driver's license back
I am forever grateful to Dr Parrent. After a chance meeting in a B&B in Nfld 20 yrs ago. I flew to London a year later and had surgery that gave me back my ability to walk ... My hero Thank you Andrew . Would love an email address to get contact with you . ....Peggy
Dr. Parrent saved me. He is the only doctor who understood me and my pain after being diagnosed with post traumatic cervical dystonia. He performed DBS surgery on me and gave me the funkiest hair cut ever. His secretary Mary Ann goes above and beyond in helping patients. There is no cure for dystonia, but Dr. Parrent gave me the best results possible for my condition. He is the only Dr. that was truthful, honest, caring and generally cared about what dystonia was doing to my body. Back in 2012, before DBS I was sent to an assessment (wsib) the doctor whom I saw knew Dr. Parrent, not personally but knew of him and told me that I was in the best hands ever. He was right. I am thankful to Dr. Parrent forever for helping me with tremors and severe neck and head contortions. He figured out my optimal settings, because he took the time and patience to do whatever it took to give me best results. You never feel rushed, and he has gone above and beyond in helping me with an incurable movement disorder. I thank God everyday that Dr. Parrent takes care of me.
Dr.Parrent has performed surgery on me twice now, I think he is the best surgeon and most down to earth doctor I have ever met.I had a bad wire <his secretary Mary Ann called me we went to London on Tues Oct 20 th to see Dr. Parrent I was booked for surgery Oct 30 th.They had a cancellation ,so I had my surgery yesterday (Oct 23 ) I am doing well,no pain.I can`t say enough about the staff at University Hospital (prep nurses, recovery nurses ,surgical team)I was treated like royalty. Thanks to all
I found Dr. Andrew Parrent to be very knowledgeable, competent, and productive in his fields of Neurology, surgery, research, and experience. He has been very caring, supportive, and helpful, as have the Nurses, Doctors, Anestesiogists and entire staff at London University. I felt very well cared for at this hospital before, during and after my surgery. When my Family Doctor refused to take out my stitches, Dr.Parent and his Nurse, Barbara, went out of their way to take them out for me, despite the distance I had to drive to get to the hospital. Barbara called me twice and assured me she and Dr. Parent would "take good care of me", which they have. MaryAnne, his Secretary is lovely too. Dr Parent and I built a rapport right away, joking,, chatting, and dealing with questions and concerns. He has, and still is, my calm hero during my storm, and I thank him and the entire staff for all they have done so far, as our journey is not over yet! God Bless Dr. Parrent in his continued research, work, and care of his patients. He is a lovely man, and I trust him. I would recommend him, his staff, and the University Hospital in general for competency and care.
I found Dr. Parrent to be very professional. He explained all options and the long term results of these. By using my MRI image he showed me why the one option was less successful for me. He illustrated on a cut away skull where the nerve was located and then I made my decision. He allowed time for me to ask questions and was very clear about the negative effects of both options. Following surgery he spent time with me and again answered all my questions and went over what I was to do following the surgery. All in all a very positive experience for me. J. Day
Just a cold, arrogant man. I'm not expecting a dinner invitation, but he was obviously absent for bedside manner classes. And, oh yeah, his treatment was an abject failure.
