I saw this neurologist in July 2008...I expedited my appointment as I was originally scheduled for October with another neurologist on staff with her. She did not do a thorough examination on me. Why not? She took detailed notes on previous medications I had been given as I brought the empty vials with me. Her summation was that I had a "nerve imbalance" and she suggested I try T.E.N.S. ( Trans-cutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation. ) This was done at the office of a highly commended physiotherapist, who lived close to my home, in the fall and early winter of 2008. This treatment exacerbated my symptoms! ? It made the pain even worse? When I asked my pain specialist and my G.P. what a "nerve imbalance" was, none would answer me? Why not? This neurologist let me down. Bring an advocate or see someone else. She is not up to date with proper care for nerve injuries.
