My dad was a patient of Dr Schuh's and recently passed away a week ago. Dr Schuh may be knowledgeable in regards to the many types of leukaemia and all the scientific research that goes along with it, however, he has absolutely no human bedside manner. My dad spent a month at Princess Margaret and did not come to see him to make sure he was ok, not even once. We were told he was going to be doing a clinical trial, but he never followed up in regards to that. The doctors waited so long that by the time we asked what had happened, my dad had gotten too weak to even be considered anymore. In his final days at PMH, we had a family meeting, along with the social worker and other pmh staff, to discuss the next steps for my father. dr Schuh waltzes into the meeting, without acknowledging my dad or asking how he was doing. He simply went to sit on a table and asked US for an update. You're the flipping doctor, how about YOU provide the family with an update?! Arrogant!!!! And this guy won a humanitarian award?!? He must've nominated himself! My dad was taken out of PMH days later and transferred to William Osler, Etobicoke site, where he spent his final days under the care of an absolutely fantastic doctor, Dr Vincent Maida. Someone, unlike dr Schuh, who actually cared for my dad and cared for his well being. The nurses in unit 15a at pmh were, undoubtedly, fantastic and wonderful. We were sure to thank them in his obituary. Dr Schuh, well, we hope to never see you again and we'll be sure to never deal with your arrogance and lack of any type of manners, again. He left us with only horrible things (minus the nursing care) to say for our experience at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto.

He is my primary oncologist at PMH. I feel totally comfortable with him and it helps that he has a great sense of humour. Too bad it always takes so long to see him at your allotted appointment, but he is a very busy man and take his time once he is with you
