Very disappointing,. My mum is almost 80 after a hip operation several weeks ago my sister and I drove my mum from neerim South to traralgon for her post op appointment. When we arrived my mum couldn't get out of the car she was in excruitiating paon. When I asked for assistance from the two reception staff they said the nurse was busy. I looked through the door to mum .mum and I managed very very carefully to manoeuvre her legs out of the car so she was in a sitting position facing her walker but she could go no further. As I was standing in front of recption ist s and glanced out to my mum I noticed she was crying in pain. I had a busy fit and said my mum is crying in pain and I'm not a nurse and I proceeded to go to my mum. Receptionist came to car, I asked if they had pain relief medication and was told no they don't keep medication at the clinic. The nurse then came along and tried to help mum stand also with my help. It was so so so painful for her. The nurse got a wheel chair and we managed to get mum into the clinics doctors room. When Doctor arrived he could see mum in pain, he did not examine her just went to the computer looked at the X-rays and said everything looks good. My sister and I thought maybe we should get a differ t car to take mum home in but mum Said it should be ok if we take things slow. Doctor Owen said, sit in the waiting room and have a cup of tea and see how things go before organising another car. My sis and I toileted my mum, wow it hurt her to sit stand , pants down pants up. She was growling at me and when I couldn't take any more I growled back at her. Then we sat in waiting room, I said, " mum , do you want me to see if I have panadeine forte in my bag, she said yes, I looked but I had left them at home. A beautiful lady Maria a patient of the clinic waiting to be seen came over to us. She said . Sorry for ears dropping but I have endone, would you like one. We agreed that yes we would oblige and mum took one. We then proceeded to get mum in the car with no luck, we got her seated on the car seat but she couldn't get her legs in the footwell. The. clinic nurse came out to help. I said, I think we need an ambulance, my sister went to reception to ask about patient transport and offered to pay the cost of it, reception staff said no cant do, then my sister said can we call an ambulance, reception staff said no it's not an emergency, all the while the clinic nurse lifted my mums legs up and moved them into the footwell of the car, mum screamed out in pain but then settled, we drove mum back to neerim South nursing home, nurses helped us get mum from car to inside the wonderful facility and my sis and I said goodbye and left for home, next day my mum was taken by ambulance to Warragul hospital, prognosis DISLOCATED HIP

His advice for a long term shoulder problem, that has got the point where it now stops me from enjoying my life, was to take some panadol and wait and see what happens.
