Ratings for Dr. Andrew S. Rokito
I recently had a recurrent ACL tear and my previous surgeon at H.S.S. immediately wanted to cut me up and perform three procedures. I had a fortune of meeting Andrew Rokito through a referral. He was extremely patient in explaining the pros and cons of the procedures. It's refreshing to meet a Surgeon who gives a more balanced view and is conservative when it comes to surgery. He recommended against one of the procedures and we will closely monitoring my situation before the other two. Highly recommend him. Also NYU is investing in modernizing their Hospital and the wait times and general feel of the place is much better than other places.
Dr.Rokito does not care about his patients. He saw me 5 months ago for my shoulder injury. He said that i do not have any big problems and that " I am not a candidate for the surgery"-that what he cares about and sent me for the physical therapy. I went for physical therapy for more than 2 months, but my pain just got worse. I then saw another surgeon, he sent e to MRI with contrast and it showed multiple serious tears in my shoulder... and I definitely need a rotator cuff surgery. So, I basically was misdiagnosed, lost time, suffered from pain for 3 months only because Dr.Rokito did not do his job. Terrible!!!
Dr. Rokito treated me for my torn rotator cuff. He was very knowledgeable and resourceful. He was very conservative in my treatment and did everything he could to avoid surgery. Nevertheless, surgery was needed. In pre-op Dr. Rokito was very calming and personable. He made me feel comfortable and I had full confidence in him. Post-op treatment was awesome. He kept on me to follow my therapy plan. I highly recommend Dr. Rokito and his staff.
