From the first visit until my surgery yesterday I have had nothing but excellent, prompt and courteous care. Jackie was able to get me hooked up with the tests I needed and an appointment with an internist for medical clearance for the surgery within a couple of days. Dr. Sapienza explains everything about my treatment to me, allows me the ability to choose my treatment options based on his explanation of all the test results, the various options with their risks and benefits making me feel as if I am a member of the treatment team which is how it should be. There is not enough space for me to list all the positives about Dr. Sapienza, NYU and his staff. The best!!!

The previous reviewers are wrong. The staff, including the PAs are great. Dr. Sapienza is knowledgeable and takes his time with each patient. He is a skilled surgeon who does excellent work. I would unconditionally recommend him.

Staff member name Jackie is awful .. Try your best not to interface with her. She lies and the physician believes her lies.. This is a morally corrupt staff

This doctor's office doubles as an orthopedics ER. Be prepared to wait up to two hours and more to get seen when an emergency comes in, which can be any and every day. I basically forfeited my turn because there was a 90+ year old woman and seriously crippled man who couldn't take the wait any longer, and because the whole fiasco made me so late for work I missed a key meeting with a client, which got me in trouble. I was supposed to go ahead of the other patients but my injury is so minor I couldn't stay in good conscience. To add insult to injury, they made me pay in advance and then for whatever reason didn't give me my money back, which I seriously needed it to hop on a cab and try to make my work meeting in time. All I got was 3 sets of shrugged shoulders from the office staff. Of course, you can bet I will not hear an apology from the doctor who should really tell all his patients that he's running an ER out of his office. Defeats the purpose of having an ER in the same hospital
