Ratings for Dr. John Milne
Dr. Milne in my opinion is a great Chiropractor!! He is polite, professional, down to earth, a good listener, He cares, He's honest, and is a very kind man. Dr. Milne is passionate about what he does and his techniques are very effective. His front office staff are kind and make you feel comfortable. Go see Dr. Milne you won't regret it!!
Despite the glowing reviews for Dr. Milne, my experience turned out quite distressing. Right from the initial visit, I had some trepidation as patients were herded in and out very quickly. My treatments were usually not more than 10 mins! His mannerisms were very abrupt/rushed and he made me feel intimidated about questioning his techniques. I ceased treatment as the pain being addressed migrated into my hip joint area. I questioned this but was told "Give it some time to settle"... which only got worse. After a visit to my GP and PT, I was advised that my hip was most likely displaced by the chiropractic traction. I called Dr. Milne to book a consultation asking for a waiver of the $50 fee (as I had already spent $370) to assess my situation to determine if he could simply put the joint BACK in place. He became very defensive and irate (actually raising his voice) stating "I DON'T WORK FOR FREE!". So what it comes down to... is he concerned about the welfare of his patients or just there to make as much money as possible? He's in it for the money - evidently.
I been having back and neck pain for about 5 years and never thought about a Chiropractor. I was at a walk-in clinic about my back pain and the doctor said how about a Chiropractor for your pain there is one in the building and he is extremely good at what he does. I said I will try it and made a app. with Dr. John Milne and he explained a treatment plan that was right for me and after the treatments I felt like a new man. I also was talking to Dr. Milne's about my wrist I Hyperextended my left wrist about 20 years ago in the Army Reserves and it has been very painful. Dr. John Milne's examined my wrist and answered my questions and again after the treatments my wrist and hand pain free and my strength was back. Thank you Doc. I highly recommend Dr. Milne as a chiropractor 5/5 rating.
I have been a patient of Dr. Milne's since 2009 He is an AMAZING Chiropractor I Highly RECCOMEND HIM. He truly cares about his patients. I was involved in a car accident in 2008 I suffered back, neck injuries. I had continues migraine headaches, my back was very sensitive to touch I was on lots of medication. Dr. Milne took a full history and assessment, went through everything regarding the accident, what injuries I had etc. Dr. Milne explained a treatment plan that was right for me. He answered all my questions. He takes the time to explain things so that you feel comfortable about the treatment plan. He does not move forward until he knows that you as his patient are 100 percent comfortable. I no longer suffer from horrible debilitating migraines, the sensitivity in my back is gone, thanks to cold laser therapy treatments, The extreme pain is gone, no longer on pain medication. I am grateful for all Dr. Milne has done to help my condition continually improve!
Dr Milne is In my opinion one of the best Chiros' out there, I have been through five of them and he is certainly the best I have come across. His knowledge of the human body goes beyond the average chiropractor and dare I say, the average M.D. as well. He is polite, professional, and punctual, as is his staff. I went in to see him recently for an adjustment and I told him I was having trouble with blocked sinuses, including a headache that went on for two weeks, low and behold he had the answer for that as well. using an uncomfortable but miraculous method, he stuck his finger into the back of my throat and jiggled open some stuck shut drain hole that lives just behind the uvula, Bam, for the next eight hours or so I was slowly draining mucous out of my head, ahhhh, relief, felt like a miracle. Thank you Doc. I highly recommend Dr. Milne as a chiropractor and beyond!!!
The first visit for the assessment was $70. I was in a motor vehicle accident in August. I have been suffering and seeing doctors and physiotherapists since then. In one appointment with Dr. Milne he was able to determine that I did indeed have a break in my collar bone that has since (luckily) healed correctly. He has X-ray equipment in his office, so there was no waiting for the x-rays before treatment could start. Dr. Milne was also able to treat me during this same appointment and was able to restore approximately 50% of my range of motion and reduce my pain IN MY FIRST VISIT! He laid out a practical treatment schedule to ensure my complete healing from this accident. I will (have) recommend Dr. Milne to all my friends and loved ones.
I rate Dr Milne and his staff a well deserved 5/5 across the board. The ladies at reception are wonderful on a personal and professional level. They're so flexible and always accommodate me on a moments notice. I've known one of the ladies for about 18 years. They know me on a first name basis and often recognize me over the phone by the sound of my voice. Dr Milne himself is a real gem. I feel I can just "shoot the breeze" with him about whatever. I'm a musician. He's a former musician. We have great laughs during my visits and he never makes me feel rushed. But if he is in a rush, he'll let me know. As for my physical issues...well, it's simple. When I go in, I'm usually sore and uncomfortable. When I walk out, I feel great. By the next day I feel fantastic. He cares. He's honest. He's friendly. As long as John and I both reside in the Greater Vancouver area, I will always be his patient.
I'm rating the office and Dr Milne a 5/5 because it's well deserved. The support staff is kind, friendly and helpful. Dr. Milne is pretty incredible. He's down to earth, a good listener an excellent educator and a kind man. You can easily tell he's passionate about what he does and he takes the time to explain things to you and in layman's terms since most of us need plain language definitions! I don't just like him because he's kind and good at what he does, I like him because he pays attention and always follows up. It's also a plus when you see nerdy and fun art around his office. Take the time to visit him and find out for yourself what I mean by that, you won't regret it or how you feel when your done!
It is difficult finding a chiropractor that can deal with my TMJ dysfunction injury and severe whiplash (i.e. neck went sideways and back and forth from a car accident). I tried seeing various chiropractors trained in ART (Active Release Technique which is esp. helpful for TMJ dysfunction, whiplash and migraines/headaches) but I found what works best for me is Myofascial Release and chiropractic adjustments all in one visit. I was thrilled to find Dr. Milne who in addition to treating all my areas of complaint uses various unique TMJ treatments which no other chiropractor has previously offered, despite my ongoing TMJ problems. I can count on Dr. Milne to be patient, caring and thorough when he examines me and adjusts my neck. His treatment gives me long-term pain relief for my TMJ. After seeing many chiropractors, I can say with much certainty that Dr. Milne is definitely worth visiting.
