I have been a patient of Dr. Black for five years at her practice in Copper Hill and at Tri Community in Floyd. She was very professional, and took time to get to know me and answered any question in detail that I ever asked. I went to her during and after cancer treatment, then followed her when she moved residency. Refered to her by many patients, the only complaining I ever heard was from people in my area who were trying to get pain meds, that she refused. I was drug tested several times, and was in her office when a patient put toilet water in her drug test. Pain medication abuse is out of control here. It makes me very angry as a cancer survivor who will have chronic pain the rest of my life, has to beg now for a Dr to accept me as a patient, because of the few who lodge complaints because they were denied. That is what happened to Dr.Blacks Copper Hill practice. I hope that Dr. Black finds another practice so I can have her as my Physician again. She has an amazing bedside manor, and truly cares about her patients well being and healing.

Dr. Black has a very unprofessional bedside manner. The entire visit, she pulled faces, complained about her OWN health and lack of insurance, and pumping out annoying jazz music throughout her lovely home/business, until my older mother had to leave, she couldnt take the loud annoying music anymore. Her lab was so incapable, they were unable to handle a simple test, and designated the task to ME, to find another lab (no referal to one, just "find a lab") to preform the test. She wasnt really listening to many of the things i said, but seemed to enjoy the sound of her own voice. When I told her that the prescription for pain medication was a temporary one, written for oral pain, she was ALSO not listening, and then discharged me because she could not find a recent prescription for the medication on record from my pain management doctor, without even double checking from my dentist etc! She promised me help and instead just wasted my time, and money, things precious to an ill gal.FU
