Ratings for Dr. Shervin Aminpour
RIP OFF! Unethical practice! Will take advantage of you, especially if you have money! My daughter went to see Dr Aminpour after a direct elbow to her nose playing soccer; concerned it may be broken. Not having an ENT, she called around to multiple Drs in the area to get consultation prices. She told them she was paying for everything herself and asked to know the costs up front. They told her $200 for a consult, but if the DR needed to do a scope of her nose it would be an additional $200. Thinking she would get an answer without the scope, the doctor barely looked at her nose before he had the scope out and up her nose. He obviously didn't even bother asking her if she wanted it before proceeding. He told her that her nose was shattered on one side and fractured on the other and that he could do a closed or open reduction to fix it. She explained she had a high deductible and wanted a cash price for a closed reduction. Iris the office manager verbally told her it would be less than $1000. The next day when she called to make an appointment Iris quoted her $1300 and said she needed to go through insurance. Getting a very weird feeling, she decided to call a very highly respected doctor in Beverly Hills to compare prices. They said they could do a closed reduction for around $600 and could do it that day if needed. A short time later, Iris called her back to see if she wanted to schedule. She told them no thanks because she found another Dr willing to do it for half the price and very highly rated. Iris suddenly became her best friend and DROPPED their price to $600 as well! HUH??? They tried to extract as much $ as they could from my daughter and then all of a sudden dropped their price when she told them she was going elsewhere! They ended up calling her back several times, trying to lure her back. And unbelievably, that very same day my daughter went to see the BH Doctor who shockingly told her that her nose WASN'T broken!!! It was just a bad contusion and there was nothing that needed to be done! WHAT!?! I am absolutely shocked that Dr Aminpour and his staff would be this unethical as to lie to a patient about their condition in order to extract money from them. Scaring a patient with false diagnosis in order to get them in is not ethical! And what exactly would he have done if she came in for the closed reduction?? Would the doctor actually have broken her nose in order to reset it? Dr Aminpour and his staff are unscrupulous and unethical.
Dr. Amimpour was in a hurry to attend somebody else somewhere else... He was very rude, his staff was disorganized and rude just like him. They misplaced my MRI's, ordering me to go back and get copies. After what seamed to be an eternity, they found my MRI's, and never apologized for their irresponsibility.
I have been unable to breathe through my nose very well for years, and had multiple sinus infections and other problems. I was actually referred to Dr. Aminpour because I was having problems hearing. Once there, Dr. Aminpour did a hearing test, and discovered that I did not have a hearing problem - my eardrums were not working due to the fact that my sinus cavity was terribly impacted! He recommended surgery for a deviated septum. I was a little alarmed, because I have (in my own opinion) a very nice nose and did not want the shape of it changed. He reassured me that the operation would not change the shape of my nose, which is thin and fine. After the operation, I was pleased to see that there was no bruising, and the shape of my nose was unaltered. Plus I have the satisfaction of breathing properly for the first time in years!
I wish I could give this so called Dr. minus 5 stars. I walked in after I had a sinus infection. The staff was nice, but the Dr. was in a rush. The fact that he was in a rush didn't prevent him from sticking this device inside my nostrils for 15-45 seconds, without warning me of what's yet to come... I paid the co-pay of $50.00 of course, only to discover 2.5 months later that I was charged $450.00 for those "precious" 15-45 seconds of glorious nostrils. I think only an NBA player makes $450.00 per 15 seconds. He may have gone to med school, but he's not there to really help people get better. He is there to MAKE MONEY and that all there is to it!!! Check everything if you still decide to go and visit that place. He will charge you unimaginable charges!!!
Great dr and man. Went to him to fix a mess another so called Ent in west hills made. Has the best bed side manner and is sooo friendly. His staff goes above and beyond to help with all your needs. He is the only Ent I will ever see....... I would recommend him to eveyone
For several years, I was told by my Family doctor that I needed my tonsils removed. He had referred me to 3 different ENTs which all had declined the surgery stating I was too old to have them removed. A year later after another ear infection, I found Dr. Aminpour who informed me 47 was not to old to have tonsils removed. He explained the procedure as well as being able to take care of my deviated septum at the same time. This also included plastic surgery to fix the shape of my nose. Dr. Aminpour is an excellent physician. I had minimal bruising and recovery was exactly as Dr. Aminpour had explained it would be. I highly recommend Dr. Aminpour. Not only is he a phenomenal surgeon, but as a plastic surgeon, he's an artist!!!
