Ratings for Dr. Michael Rich
I’ve actually got goose bumps and have a tear rolling down my cheek as I write this review. I currently reside in Tasmania and have been to dr Rich’s clinic on a number of occasions for Botox, after going thru a nasty separation from my partner of 9 years my self esteem had hit rock bottom especially after giving birth to 3 children. I’m 41 years of age and decided I needed a pick me up so I booked myself in for some liposuction onmy tummy, inner, outter thighs, inner knees hips and waist. At first I was very anxious a the thought of having a procedure done under local anaesthetic. I arrived in melbourne a day before my procedure and met with dr Rich and his amazing staff who made me feel at ease and explained the procedure in depth... I think I kept asking the same questions over and over again due to my nervousness and I wasn’t at all made to feel anything but comfort and at ease. . On the day of the surgery I was given a jab for the pain and a tablet to relax me before hand. To be quite honest with you I didn’t even need the tablet because of how fantastic the team were at making me feel relaxed and at ease. It’s been a week tomorrow since my procedure and I must admit I’m a little bruised however I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure. Dr Rich if you ever happen to read this I just want to thank both you and your amazing staff for the brilliant work you’ve done. I can’t recommend you highly enough. You’re personality and humour drew me so close to you that I felt like I’d known you for years. Jacinta one of the nurses also drove me to my hotel where I was staying with a friend ( due to the duty of care they wouldn’t let me go in a taxi or even be alone for the first 24 hours) assisted me up to my hotel room and even made sure all my pillows etc were propped up in the right position for me. I thank you all from the depths of my heart for making my experience such an amazing one.
I have seen Dr Rich routinely every 6 months for quite a few years now. He is brilliant. So incredibly knowledgable and has a high level of regard for me as a patient. I've been going to the clinic for many years as a cosmetic patient too and find all the nurses and reception staff to be FANTASTIC, even when they're run off their feet with patients everywhere! Having read a few of the reviews below, I'm shocked to see a few that say Dr Rich is careless - he shows far more interest in me as a patient than any Dr I've been to in the past.. including GPs. I saw Dr Maria Milone because Dr Rich is so hard to book due to a busy schedule. She basically pushes roaccutane on you for one or 2 pimples even when you are not complaining about acne. I told her I suffered severe depression and anxiety and I'm still on medications for it, she didn't care she kept pushing it. I didn't even come for the acne consult. I thought she really didn't care about my wellbeing or had a very poor nwoledge of the roaccutane side effects. Dr Rich on the other hand offers all sorts of lasers which are expensive and have very minimal results. I tried many of them.
If you have a skin condition he will just want to prescribe you roaccutane. He told me all his staff and patients are on it. I told him i have suffered depression and have anxiety so i didnt think it was suitable for me but he still recommended it. I asked him for an alternative so he gave me a script for elidel. I researched it and I wish he told me the risks associated with it, the most concerning was an increased risk of cancer. I don't feel like he cared about my wellbeing at all. Waste of time and money.
I went to Dr Rich for Liposuction on my stomach and flanks on 10 July and could not be happier with the results. He has been able to taper my waist and my stomach is flat. It was painful for a couple of days but manageable and definitely worth it.
