Ratings for Dr. Sanjay K. Reddy
I went to see Dr. Reddy. Worst experience ever. Consultation was 2-3 minutes. He hardly spoke to me. Told me he reviewed my ultrasounds and he wanted me to remove my gallbladder immediately. Neither one of my previous doctors requested. I told him that my gallbladder does show a small, few stones, no inflammation, and working fine. For any experienced doctor that wasn't a concern. My discomfort and pain came from the left side of my abdomen, not the right (gallbladder) I explained him where my discomfort was coming from...He didn't even listen or examine me. It was all about my gallbladder to him and I needed to remove it right away. I found no point in discussing with him any further as I saw no knowledge on his part. He rushed me out of there to see a surgeon, Dr. Bairossi (she was more compassionate, caring and willing to listen). Since we couldn't figure out why my discomfort was coming from the left we both decided to do an MRI which didn't show any problems at all, not even gallbladder stones. Went back to see Dr. Bairossi with the results and she told me: You are fine! So I decided not to remove my gallbladder. Went to see another gastro, he suggested to do an endoscopy, the results didn't surprise me, I have a HIATAL HERNIA! I had diagnosed myself long before, but took me $$$$$ to find the right doctor after Dr. Reddy $110, Surgeon $180 MRI (WASN'T NECESSARY) $3,000. Finally found the root of my problem. Thank GOD I didn't listen to Dr. Reddy otherwise I would still be miserable and without a gallbladder. BE AWARE DON'T GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!! If a Doctor doesn't find the time to talk to you and listen carefully to your symptoms he is NO GOOD!! I talked to the nurse and supervisor told them about it and that he completely misdiagnosed me and they had the nerves to send me a $110 bill for a 2 minute consultation!!!!??? How can Dr. Reddy sleep at night. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A DOCTOR EVER! Left that place crying! I will be reporting this to Medicine board.
I went to Dr. Reddy with regards to diverticulitis and intestinal issues. He spent less than 2 minutes with me, patted my lower intestinal area, and then had his assistant hand me a booklet for diet. I felt confused and uncared for by Dr. Reddy. A couple of weeks later I called his office again as I was still in pain, constipated and feeling awful. That was on a Thursday. I did not get a call back so I called 5days later on Tuesday and spoke to his assistant. She spoke to Dr. Reddy and called me back and scheduled me for a CAT scan. But it had to be the place he uses and no other imaging specialist and that it would be a week later for the CAT scan because that is how long it typically took for them to confirm my insurance. Now we are talking 12 later from my initial call on the Thursday. When they got the results from the CAT scan the assistant called me and advised the diverticulitis was not irritated and that they would call in a prescription used for IBS. If he had check my medical records the prescription he called in was the same prescription my family doctor called in a couple months earlier and I could not use the prescription because it super constipated me. So today I called and needed my medical records for a STD claim. When I got home and read the records it only contained my visit where he patted my belly and handed me a diet pamphlet. Nothing of my calls, after that, the CAT scan results, the prescribed medication for IBS. So a $5000.00 CAT is not in his records and prescribed medication not in the records either. I am strongly disappointed by how Dr. Reddy and his office have handled me.
I was very ill with Crohn's and had just relocated to Florida. I found Dr. Reddy's name in the phone book as a digestive disease specialist. My first appointment, he was very polite and caring and thorough in the diagnosis process and started me on Remicade infusions. I have been in remission for over 3 years. Dr. Reddy has even visited me when I was in the infusion room just to check on me outside of regular office visits. He is so concerned for his patients and I give him a hug when I see him. I am so thankful I found him and would recommend him to anybody suffering from digestive problems. He will not only get to the root of the problem but will hold your hand through all steps of your illness and/or recovery.
Dr. Reddy is caring, competent and thorough. He is genuinely concerned in my whole body well being, not just my gastrointestinal issues. I readily recommend him to friends and convinced my father to switch to him. He spends ample time and I've never felt rushed. I cannot imagine anyone not feeling satisfied and confident in his care.
I went for my first appointment and was so happy with DR. Reddy and the staff. He is personable, respectable, passionate and cares about his patients (health, meds, etc). On my first visit, he treated me as if was his best friends. After my follow-up procedure, the follow through and caring for his "best friend" was exceptional. Dr. Reddy has over 10 years experience in internal medicine and gastroenterology and was able to, in detail explain and answer all my questions/concerns. There are 3 local offices in the Orlando area that make it feasible for office visits around my schedule. I had a great overall experience from start to finish, and then some. He is an advocate for feedback (good or bad) and is always wanting to improve the care and service he provides.
I have been going to Dr Reddy since I moved to Orlando about 6 years ago. He has performed several procedures on me and had many office visits for my condition. Him and his staff have been nothing short of fantastic. I complain about a lot of Dr's but this is not one of them. I actually enjoy seeing Dr Reddy and talking with him every time I go. I would highly recommend him and his staff. They also have several offices so you don't have to drive as far.
I switched to Dr Reddy from one of the 'most respected GI's in town' (according to my PCP) that was a total train wreck; I was so happy with Reddy that I sent my parents and 2 co-workers. All of us LOVE his bedside manner, his uptodate attitudes about meds (even herbs), and especially his practical advice about co-pays and insurance. I think he works with medical students at UCF, and this gives me some hope about future docs!
