Ratings for Dr. Stephan Orvitz
Beware!! Like the person below he only cared about selling things!! Minimal assessment, no diagnosis, but will recommend expen$ive treatment..$700 orthotics..plus charging for unnecessary followe ups? He's a business man, not a physician..Real podiatrists only charge when you pick up the devices and write Rx's for them so they are covered by benefits...the only thing working as it should be in that office is the debit machine!
Went for an initial consultation on Thursday. He fixed up one problem toe right away but wouldn't have time for the other that visit. He came in on his off day just to fix my problem ingrown nail . I was out of his office in 30 mins and on my way home. The procedure was painless and done with skill and efficency. Best experience I've ever had with a doctor
Excellent! Surprised by negative reviews, although wasn't seen in Fort Erie office. The doctor was on time, early in fact and very thorough. Provided several options to me to help my problem without pushing the most expensive one. Definitely will continue to see him from now on. Office staff was very efficient and helpful. The dark haired receptionist in particular was lovely, she seemed genuinely friendly and kind.
Both my teenage sons at different times were treated for ingrown toenails that were extremely painful and infected. We found Dr. Orvitz to be extremely helpful and kind. He followed up repeatedly with my sons after surgery to make sure they healed properly and always made himself available if we had any problems or concerns.
I went to Dr. Orvitz for a painful foot. He gave me a nice speech about the issue, then told me I needed inserts ($500.00) but no other help for the problem. While waiting for the cast to dry I over heard him giving the same speech to the next client. hmmm could the speech be his best selling tool for inserts??? The Fort Erie office is in the basement, dark, dirty. IMO he is the best insert pusher and nail clipper
we went there with bad infection on nail (painful). he urged us to have surgery where they permanently remove both sides of nail, killing the nerve so the sides dont grow back. we said we'd think about it then he said no it's better to do it now because the child will balk @ idea. started procedure, extremely painful (4 needles), offered every1 drink of water when he finished his he raised his hand & threw the cup hard onto floor as if 2 break aglass as in greek tradition since he's greek. after surgery we were instructed to only call him if there was complications Since there was infection 1 nite we went to er, the doc there seemed vry angry about the surgery/look of toenail Next appnt w/orvitz, he was vry upset that we went 2 another doc, he was very rough when examining toe Another appnt he only took about30sec 2 look then we were 2 leave& he got paid 4 reg checkup. yearslater my toenail is DISCOLOURD/CONCAVE/THICK he then joked that i could put nailpolish if i go 2 the beach
