The surgeon knows her stuff, but has staff that change so often that communication is difficult. She also has trouble giving full explanations so her patients can make informed choices. At our most recent visit with her we traveled 400 miles round trip for a 15 consultation where we learned information about what she did in her recent surgery. Information that was not disclosed prior to the surgery or right afterwards. She was highly recommended by our oncologist, which is why we opted to drive a little further, but complications after the surgery have lead to multiple hospitalizations, ER visits and a stay in rehab. We understand that there can be complications with any surgery, but given the distance that we need to drive, she has not been able to provide the follow-up care necessary. In hindsight, we would have found a local surgeon that could have provided appropriate after care.
