Ratings for Dr. Michael A. Fritz
I had a nasal surgery with this doctor. He promised me something and didn't make it. I had a nose damage (breathing and shape) due to a car accident. I went to him and he said that he is familiar with such breathing problems and all I need is a "tip lift up.” He promised that it will improve my nose my breathing problems and shape too. I did the surgery; however, I didn't see any improvement after the surgery. Not in terms of breathing or shape. In the follow up appointments, I kept telling him that. He replied that I have to give it some time to heal. I asked "How long?" He answered "six months for 90% results and a year for 100% results." He also promised that he would do whatever it take for this to work and make me happy with the surgery. It is almost two years now since I had the surgery and my noise sometimes bleeds from the inside. For the shape, nothing change at all except my nose is so stiff from the front like iron. I sometimes see myself itching it and squeezing it so hard. I went to him again and I explained all this for him. He said that the main goal of the surgery was that I breath better. The bleeding will eventually stop with time. Other than that, there was nothing he could do at the time. I don’t know how I would breath better if my nose bleeding. I know my nose bleeds occasionally but I had the surgery so my breathing problems are healed not semi-healed. So now, I still have breathing problems and the shape is the same. What did I get from this surgery? And the worst part is that I strongly felt that he broke his promise by telling me there was nothing he could do. He already told that he would do anything for this to work and make me happy with the results. How could he say there was nothing he could do? I wanted to do something about this, but I realized that I have to blame myself too. I should have asked for a second opinion rather than following this guy blindly. I guess no one respect their professions nowadays. Money comes first! Therefore, I highly suggest a second a opinion and not consider a doctor an angel !
