Ratings for Dr. Melissa L. Stenstrom
I was a patient when Dr Stenstrom was with the RHS and I received quality care. When she open her own practice I called to make an appointment and was not able to because I did not have all my insurance account numbers and policy and group info. I told the girl I just wanted to make an appointment and I would provide all the policy numbers when I arrived. Even though her practice had no problem with my carriers, no appointment would be made without the numbers. I even told the receptionist that no changes had been made since my last visit. Still I was informed that no appointment will be granted. I will find someone else who is not so money hungry. The doctor is good but her policies are not.
Dr. Melissa L. Stenstrom's response
I apologize for the delay in responding to your comments. I would have liked to respond promptly but was not made aware of your experience or this review until just recently. I would like to apologize on behalf of my office for not meeting your expectations. I sincerely appreciate your feedback and invite you to contact either me or my office manager personally to discuss your concerns. We are always looking for ways to improve our clinic. In fact, over the past number of months, we have been actively reviewing and restructuring our registration process to reduce patient check-in times and delays and potential complications when processing medical claims due to incorrect or incomplete information. The goal of collecting the information up-front is to help make the overall experience smoother for our patients. I apologize if our staff was being too rigid with the policy of entering insurance information when scheduling appointments. Please note that insurance information provided while I was with RHS could not be transferred to my current practice so we had to collect the information from those patients previously seen at RHS when they were scheduling return visits. We strive each day to not only provide the best medical treatment for each patient but also to create the best pre- and post-visit experience for each patient. We hope to hear from you and to have an opportunity to serve you better.

I am no longer able to see Dr. Stenstrom since she switched to private practice and does not accept Aetna. However, I have seen her several times in the past. She is thoughtful, listens and has a good bedside manner. I am disappointed that I can no longer see her.
