Very thorough and detailed medical practitioner in my experience. Asked the right questions, explained the process and was able to fully capture what has occurred, what medical interventions are required, what other support will be helpful and what medication are or are not needed. Was able to advise what can be deemed inferior wound management and best ways to minimise interference in healing for optimum results. Provided choice in after care and encouraged researching available medical practitioner directories to evaluate unbiased most suitable expert advice rather than referring anyone in particular. Professional and caring in my experience. Alex, Western Australia

Diagnoses have always been spot on. One of the very few doctors who will discuss, and is knowledgeable about holistic options

Excellent doctor, highly recommended. Have been seeing him since 2011, and is our family GP. Very knowledgable and goes out of his way to avoid making patients pay excessive amounts. Makes reference to specialist only when necessary. His references are not friends as mentioned in someone else's review below but always turn out to be truly good specialist doctors available. I suffer from anxiety and have found him to be concise in his diagnosis and provide clear answers. Many other doctors often talk with legal jargon such as most likely, could be etc. but dr John is always clear and straightforward in his response.

A very calm, gentle and respectful doctor. I have bad anxiety and he always makes me feel at ease when I see him. He is genuinely helpful too, and is very thorough.

Dr, Mathew John from Central City medical is a really nice guy, always a please to talk to. Unfortunately this is where it stops. Dr. MJ, has very little knowledge apart from prescribing regular over the counter medication. He only wants to do what causes few waves for himself and not what will help you. He'll also make a note of fleecing your pockets in the process. He will also send you off to every private "best friend" specialist in W.A. at your expense, then to top it off, fail to follow their expert recommendations. He is doing what they call in the medical profession "Doctor Shopping", its what junkies do to get dual prescriptions. And here, against their ethos, DR. MJ is also doing it. No ethics here! I had a family member die from pancreatic cancer, he denied it was happening to the very end. Even when he viewed the autopsy report he was in denial and became abusive. If you want a chat and some antibiotics with Neurofen, then go and see Dr. MJ, if you have a serious problem, go and chat to your family pet about it. Their hugs and kisses will do more for you.
