Ratings for Dr. Victor Wong
Never will I go back to this Dr. Diagnosed me with something that did not fit my symptoms at all. Took me off medication my family GP prescribed that was working so I became quite ill. Send him the blood test results by fax followed up with phone call and was told I was fine. Blood work showed otherwise. Saw a different gastro specialist, have been properly diagnosed and on the original medication. This man has not business practicing medicine. He told me I didn't look like someone who has a certain disease because I am overweight. If you are not slim and fit he has no time for you. What about that oath you took Dr Wong????
I was very nervous about having a colonoscopy especially after reading the reviews. I am extremely happy to report Dr Wang was wonderful. He explained the procedure thoroughly was very kind and respectful. I had the procedure with no anesthetic ( my choice) and had no problem. I rec'd my results right away
I am quite aware of the preceding reviews and having just come from a mid-morning appointment with him today I felt I had to, in fairness, add my observations. While it is true that he is not particularly chatty and that some people might interpret that as cold and unfeeling I found him very responsive to my questions and very helpful. He did not rush me and was thoughtful in his responses especially when he balanced the risks versus the benefits of medications. He even laughed at a humorous comment I made and offered some reassuring words. Based on my visit today and my two previous encounters with Dr. Wong I think it is way "over the top" to suggest he is a "robot", a "so-called" doctor or generally disrespectful. Specialists generally have a reputation for a poor bedside manner and while Dr. Wong could be a little chummier I don't see this as a particular negative. He has his eye on the ball, focused on his expertise. I'll gladly trade a chatty physician in return for a cancer-free life. SKT
terrible wild animal so called dr victor wong just care about money .push streches like dead body on it you even dont push buggies at grossery store like that .dont give sedative injection to kik in before stating colonoscopy does not explain any thing just ask you rudly tosighn a paper without reading it,
Staff: hide behind a desk that no one could see over. Told me my first appointment would be 1/2 hour. Dr. Very impersonal, disrespectful. Saw I was 65 overweight and he basically dismissed me. He asked me a few questions but basically igored my answers, he had made his decision. Told me to try a diierent antacid lose weight and see his receptionist for an appointment for an endoscopy 10 months away. He literally dismissed me. No questions no answer opportunity., no medical testing nothing. My 1/2 hour first visit was 10 minutes. Comments by others echo my own experience.
The worst doctor I have ever seen.I have Crohn's disease and the blood test is really terrible. When I saw him, he said I am fine and do not need to take any medicine. After I saw him a month, I was sent to emergency room and done a surgery. If he can give me proper treatment early, I would not need a surgery. If you have a choice, asking your family doctor to change another GI. As most people said, he did not see you and only cared about his computer.
I agree with most people that this doctor is only interested in doing colonoscopy or endoscopy which perhaps would bring him more money, than consultation in the office. I had a colon surgery performed last September and subsequently a colonoscopy follow up by the same surgeon. I had bowel movement disorder after the surgery that my family doctor referred me to this fellow. After a two month wait for an appointment I showed up at his office. True enough as many said, he was cold, no smile, no eye contact and no hand shake. When I told him my problem he was just keeping his eyes on his computer screen and told me I would need a colonoscopy without more question or examination. When I told him I just had one done two months ago by the surgeon, he immediately showed great displeasure and told me plainly I shouldn't come to see him but go back to the surgeon. It was a waste of his time. Oh my god, did I went to the wrong place? Is a GI specialist not supposed to deal with intestinal disorders but colonoscopy only? Try avoid this doctor if you value your health. I hope this column is read by the authority and proper evaluation be given to this fellow based on the reviews received.
