Dr. Kevin E. Lung's Ratings
Tank God for the internet and the ratings that people write, I value public opinion much more than other dentists specially the ones that refer you to specialists. Funny but in rating dr. Kevin E. Lung does not have the a window for fees how fair are his fees. I was referred to dr. Lung and when I ask about the first consultation fee I was blown away when I heard $575.00 as I asked questions this is what I got: it takes 5 to 15 minutes, no he will not accept any X-rays previously taken and dr. Lung treats the client as if is the very first time I seen a dentist, well that did it for me NOT accepting my recently taken X-rays including a 3 dimensional and a panoramic one which not only are very expensive but every time an X-ray is taken your tissue gets hurt. When I expressed my opinion to the secretary a day later she sent an e-mail saying that she told dr. Lung and he instructed her to refuse me. He did me a favor. Thank God for being able to voice my experience so other people can use the information
One year ago I had a dental implant placed by a dentist. I had nothing but constant pain and recurrent infections. I saw another dentist who referred to Dr. Lung. I first met Dr. Lung as an emergency as my face was so swollen. Dr. Lung explained the problem to me in detail and proceeding with dealing with the infection immediately. He removed the implant and bone grafted that site. He later replaced the implant and now it is completely redone. I have no pain and I am so please with everything he did for me. I can't thank him enough, he was really caring. He even called me the next day to see how I was doing. He had excellent bedside manner and his care was awesome. I was so happy that I was referred to him. I would recommend anyone to him with an implant problem.
Dr. Lung is an amazing surgeon. I was so scared having my wisdom teeth removed. He was so reassuring and understanding. It went so smoothly and his staff was so nice. I would recommend him to anyone.
Had 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Lung. Two were impacted, one was exposed and one was exposed, but pressing against a crown. Your experience with him will likely happen in two parts so I will break my comments into two sections.
First, the intake. The office is in the west end with lots of parking. It is clean and busy (a bit of an assembly line feel). Staff are confident and know what they are doing. You will wait for a while. His personal assistants are friendly. He is very friendly. He is confident and knowledgable. I had no problems accepting his recommendations. The staff at the front help coordinate your information package and are very prepared with insurance documents.
Second, the procedure. I was scheduled for general anesthesia. Besides any anxiety you might feel, you also are required to avoid eating. This isn't a huge issue, but if you are scheduled for noon like I was your body is already sending you signals. I waited 1.5 hours to get in. Things go wrong with other patients so I wasn't that concerned. The operating staff was just okay. Clearly they had done a few patients that day and were in work mode. The anesthesiologist was great and the nurses when I awoke were also great. I was only under for half an hour and awoke fairly easily. Dr. Lung came by and told me how things went. We high-fived.
In terms of the quality of the work done, it was great. I am a month removed with no complications. I followed the icing instructions and ensured I kept up with the medication. No complications. I went to him because he was rated the best, I am happy to add to the list of positive recommendations.
Dr.Kevin E Lung ,the best Maxillofacial Surgeon & can't say enough about him.First time I met him , he's approachable & straight forward with the cost. He implanted 4 supported prosthetics @ my lower mandible . He's been great pre. & post surgery. I owe him my beautiful smile & self confidence in talking as well as speaking to the public . I highly recommended him.
Unbelievable how awesome Dr. Lung has been throughout my life. Having a bilateral cleft and palate made myself quite a big project but Dr. Lung has been great the whole way through it, all 20 years. We did it all, from bone grafting me as an infant all the way to jaw surgery and finally a tooth implant. Great surgeon. Great man. Period.
My first appointment with Dr. Lung was in January on 2014. I went to see about having a sliding genioplasty preformed, I was always concerned about how my side profile looked and Dr. Lung let me know I would be a perfect candidate for the procedure. I waited till June of 2014 to have the surgery, I was a little apprehensive about the whole thing cause I knew it was going to change how I looked and that worried me a little, I was concerned I wouldn’t be happy with the outcome but that is not the case. I couldn’t be happier with the work the Dr. Lung did. I went in for surgery on the morning of June 23rd and was back to my hotel room by noon. When I first woke up from surgery I was in a bit of pain but I took the prescription that I was given and it was more than enough for the pain. I was able to take my bandages off on Thursday and other then some swelling and a little bruising there were no issues. During my recovery I thought I was having some issues with the healing process and called the office and the squeezed me in right away. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Lung and his staff; they were all very comforting and reassuring. After my follow up with Dr. Lung both he and I are very pleased with the end result. If this is a procedure you are looking to have done I would hands down recommend Dr. Lung.
My son has terrible dental phobia. He is 8 years old and had a severely abscessed tooth that was not responding to antibiotics. It was decided by his dentist that he needed an emergency tooth extraction. Within minutes of my dentist referring us to Dr. Lung, one of his staff members phoned us to give us instructions for before surgery. We had to drive 5 hours to arrive there and it was after closing hours. Dr. Lung made myself and my son feel very at ease with the surgery. He also removed several other problem teeth. Although my son was not the easiest after waking up from the anesthetic, the very next day he praised Dr. Lung and his staff for how nice they were and how they kept telling him how awesome he did. I know how dangerous abscessed teeth can be and I was an absolute wreck that day. I am so happy we were referred to Dr. Lung. That evening we also received a phone call from one of the nurses to check and see how my son was doing. Nothing but wonderful things to say.
Seen Dr Lung to pull my bottom wisdom teeth. I put this surgery off for years because my dentist kept telling me how much it was going to hurt. When I seen Dr Lung I was anxious about the procedure but he immediately put me at ease. He was super nice and funny. My procedure went so well, I had NO pain afterwards. This is strange because my roots were so long and anchored into my jawbone. I had a bit of swelling but virtually no pain besides being a little sore. I recommend him to anybody getting this done. I wish I had a reason to go back and see him again. I actually just read he does cosmetic procedures...might have to go back for that. The only negative thing I can say is I waited for quite a bit that day. In the end well worth the wait! If you're going there just be prepared they are very busy and it might take a bit longer than what they say. I love you Dr Lung, you are the best!
I had oral surgery in November 2011. I had a root canal capped (under the gumline) and both wisdom teeth removed at the same time. I still have some nerve damage to my right gumline/lip area and it is October 9, 2013!! This has been subsiding very slowly...not sure if it will be totally normal again. Dr. Lung may be a good hearted doctor, but he certainly cannot guarantee perfect results.
