Dr. Barber is obese. (Strike one). How can anyone take an grossly overweight doctor seriously, especially when he appears he doesn't even want to be there. When I met with him, he sat in a chair in the examination room scribbling notes. He never got up to examine me (Strike two). And when he started to lecture me, I felt like like he was jeopardizing my life. Dr. Barber treats mainly HIV/AIDS patients at the Desert AIDS Project (DAP), a simple-minded place which does not try hard enough to help patients; they spend too much time blaming patients. If you have HIV/AIDS and live in Coachella Valley, you can expect negligence. Survivors tend to be those who can afford to get to decent health care in Los Angeles or San Diego. The DAP's PA, Jeffrey Dahman is bright, sought out, and very, very busy. If not for him, there might not be health care at the DAP.
