Dr Ahmed is one of the best dr I have seen so far in terms of his approach towards his patents, knowledge, helpfulness, skills. He is a busy doctor but I never felt that he doesn't have time for me. I feel blessed that he is my doctor. He is constantly helping me to move on with my life as normal as possible. God bless him.

I had my first colonoscopy at the Lakeshore Hospital last week. Although the preparation (and not eating for an entire day) gave me a very bad headache, the procedure went well. I was administered sedation (fentanyl) and basically felt little pain ... and my memory of the entire procedure is a little fuzzy (probably a good thing). Dr. Ahmed and his nursing staff are great.... very gentle and the nurses make sure all your questions are answered. Dr. Ahmed removed 1 polyp so I will need to get another colonoscopy in 5 years. At least I now know what to expect and hopefully will not be as nervous as the first time.

Inquiet, j'avise l'infirmière qui me dit de me faire aucun souci.

I had a colonoscopy last week with Dr. Ahmed in the private clinic..although he does work at the Lakeshore General Hospital as well. He is probably the nicest, warmest, friendliest doctor I have ever seen. I opted for no IV or medication. I did not want to inconvenience anyone; making them drive me there, wait through the procedure and recovery and drive me home. From all I had read, a colonoscopy amounted to 10 minutes of discomfort with occasional, brief, sharp pains. And that's what it was. I was able to chat with Dr Ahmed and the nurse and also watch on the screen, in vivid detail, the scope snake through my insides...very interesting. I asked questions and was given excellent answers. I was able to leave right after the procedure and run errands.

Was lucky to get my appointment with Dr.Ahmed recently. He was very thorough in reviewing my blood work and requested additional tests to start ruling out what was wrong. He took the time to explain what was discovered and confirmed it with the Biopsy and the Gastroscopy that I have Auto Immune Hepatitis. Next step was to get to see the specialist at the Royal Vic .. very difficuly during the holidays ... been waiting a few weeks ...for my paperwork to be triaged ... well, with the stage that I'm at (3) and looks like I've had this since 2008 and wasnt picked up in previous blood work with another doctor ...well, I got a call yesterday and got an appointment for this morning. I can at least know that I'm closing off 2014 on meds and can step into 2015 with a positive attitude. He has the patience to explain and answer quesations and not rush you out of the office ... He's honest and doesnt beat around the bush ... and has a great delivery when it comes to giving you not so great news ... he's very compassionate ... You certainly dont feel like just a number . Dr. A... thank you for being you. KMJ

I have had unknown abdominal pain for months. I finally was referred to Dr. Ahmed. He is one of the best Dr.'s I have ever met. he is attentive, knowledgeable, very thorough. I am so happy to have been referred to him. I just recently had to do Gastroscopy and colonoscopy. His staff at the hospital are very courteous and friendly. they make you feel very confortable before, during and after the procedures. If I could rate him and his staff 10 star I would.
