Ratings for Dr. Peter J. Greco
Avoid this doctor. He rushes all appointments like you are a piece in an assembly line. His prescribing is usually way off in left field. Seems like he is afraid to prescribe some medicines because they are controlled substances when other doctors clearly state that the controlled medication is well justified for the ailment. Poor manner and rude.
Dr. Greco was my mother's primary care physician for many years. My mother was always in very good health other than very bad arthritis in her knees. Two years ago she had knee replacement surgery. The surgery went well however my mother started to complain that something was not right. She did not feel well, she was weak and began to lose weight. Like many people my mom had to watch her weight most of her life so for her to just start losing weight without trying was somewhat unusual. She kept asking Dr. Greco what could be wrong. He basically attributed her condition to her aging and said her tests were not showing any problems. He would not even pay attention to her during appointments but sat looking at his computer screen rather than at her. In May, Mom went to the emergency room, was admitted and passed away on May 15th with a neuro-muscular disorder that possibly could have been treated if diagnosed sooner.
