Dr. Flores earned a B.A. from Northwestern University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine, where she helped start the Alpha Home, a student-run free clinic for homeless families and women suffering from substance abuse. She completed her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, where she also served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology at Scripps Green Hospital. Prior to joining California Cancer Associates for Research & Excellence, Dr. Flores served as the Medical Director at the Cancer Institute at Pioneers Hospital and as a research assistant at the Scripps Research Institute.
