He had me hold up my arms in two ways and left. There was no time for questions. When he came back to give me a steroid shot I was not sure I wanted it. I said I had questions. He didn’t even look me in the eye just made his decision as to where to put the steroid. I wish I had been confident enough to walk out or at least refuse the steroid. I forced him to stay long enough to tell me I would not damage my shoulder with exercise. I also told him I already had diclofenac sodium and did not want to take it. He said he would give me something else. He prescribed diclofenac sodium and celecoxib and physical therapy. He did not examine me, did not ask about pain, did not explain pros and cons of steroid or the meds he prescribed. The diagnosis was adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder which he had seen hundreds of times. To be fair, he had a CT scan and x ray. He might be a great doc, but I would not recommend him to anyone. I want my doc to see me as a human being.
