Ratings for Dr. Matthew D. Pouliot
I have been seeing Dr. Pouliot and his staff for almost 2 years now. He is very attentive, knowledgeable and addresses all of my concerns prior to and after any of my procedures. Very professional, courteous and has helped me live a more comfortable and tolerable life with the extreme pain I have been living with for nearly 3 years. I would recommend him to my closest of friends. His staff is absolutely amazing, most notably his PAC Kelli McKee & her assistant Kim. Kelli & Kim provide the majority of my care as I see them nearly once a Month and see Dr Pouliot for my injections about once every 3-4 Months. After I had surgery at a different practice (podiatrist) I contracted an infection which had developed immediately after the procedure. I was personally unaware of this as I had gone back to my podiatrist with concerns over the swelling and increased pain in the area where operated on. The podiatrist & 2 of his colleagues (I went there a total of 4 times immediately after surgery) attributed this to post op inflammation & possible gout inflammation. When I saw Kelli for my regular scheduled appointment, she immediately expressed concern and assessed my condition and directed me to go to the Hospital if certain ailments continued or became worse. They did. I went to the Hospital and was diagnosed with an infection that has spread to my bloodstream and immediately admitted and given a 3 day course of IV antibiotics. If I had not seen Kelli I would have certainly been in extreme danger of losing an appendage and possibly worse. I fully believe that Kelli saved my foot and quite possibly saved my life. The infection I had is the #1 killer of post op patients due to surgery in hospitals in the nation. My family and I are forever indebted to Kelli, Kim and Front Range Pain Medicine for their care.
I feel like I was traumatized by him an his Pa Deb. I will never for get the statement pain won't kill you. My therapist disagrees. If your in so much pain it warps your thinking an I almost took my life because of sleep deprived. My pain was a new issue an he didn't address it just told me once again to see my therapist which I had to because of being sleep deprived. I am now having nightmares because of being forced to ensure this type if pain around the clock with no releif. Aspirin it might have helped more than the 50 mg of tramadol I was allied to have 2wice a day. Now looking for relief of screaming into my pillow cuz it hurts so bad. I told me I'm doing really well handling all the pain. New dr has questions. I won't go back to feeling I wasn't a human in pain. I now have night mares. Talk about a dr messing with others heads.
when i go to see Dr. Pouliot, he is always prompt , friendly , and he knows me .and treats me like a friend , and patient, not a number , and I think he has my best interest at heart, , and I have never had to wait ,when my appointment comes up ,I am in the room and he is right there ,also he doesn't herd you in like cattle , so if you need a great doctor look him up you won't regret it,
If you want a doctor that spends about 2 minutes with you then Dr. Pouliot is the Dr to see. Also, hopefully you will not be in to much pain because if you need a med refill he will make you come in and have an office visit. I've seen him three times and that wasn't enough. I had two surgery this year and still dealing with pain. Dr Pouliot is in bead with the pharmaceutical companies as he like to give out SSRI's instead of pain meads. Good luck with this Dr. One of the worst I've EVER been too.
