Went to see her to get some answers about my hypothyroidism. I asked why were my symptoms worsening. She gave me a vague answer, with an attitude as if I was inconveniencing her, Lied about an alternative treatment to my face, saying it wasn't FDA approved and it doesn't work at all and that there were no clinical studies showing that it worked (Wrong, Wrong, and Wrong again.) She barely listened to my symptoms and my medical history, which she really should have looked into because I have a large family history of MANY autoimmune diseases including Lupus. She rushed me through telling her about my symptoms, and literally said I must be lying about my food diary and exercise log (I even wore and tried to show her my Garmin Vivofit which records my exercise and calorie consumption). She ordered some tests, proceeded to tell me that my blood work came back normal and my symptoms (Swelling, Hair falling out in large chunks, Brain fog, Cold temperature, etc) were all in my head and I was faking it. She said if I have PCOS it is managed by my birth control whioch makes literally no sense because if it's managed why would I be having symptoms. She then put me on Metformin without discussing side effects, And literally said "It might help, or it might not" while shrugging and said good luck. This literally was the worst experience with a doctor I have ever had, I cried the whole way home. If you are hypothyroid like me, see someone else, especially if you are in "Normal range" for TSH, because she will just tell you that you're faking it. Find a doctor who will listen to you and treat you based on your symptoms, Instead of relying on the inaccuracies of TSH.

Dr Rupp treats my brother and because he is a bit slow I attend appointments. His history is a bit completed and he is slow to comprehend. Dr. Rupp and her staff have always been very patient and kind.

Dr. Rupp always seems very uninterested and rushes through appointments. I have seen her twice, and each appointment was only about 5 minutes long, ending with her running out of the room. I have Type 1 Diabetes, and Dr. Rupp (like many other endocrinologists) basically treated me like I was a Type 2 patient. She also tried to push unnecessary medication on me (do doctors get kickbacks from certain pharmaceutical companies?). As a young Type 1 Diabetic, it is hard to find a doctor that seems to understand the disease. Unfortunately Dr. Rupp isn't one of the doctors that does.

Not interested in saliva testing or other options. when told we would start with some tests and if they didnt point to an issue that she would look further into other areas. after results came back "normal" she didnt look any farther. when asked what other tests she was referring to she looked surprised. definitely not supportive.
