Ratings for Dr. Jitesh V. Patel
I have been going to him for several years and he is very good at listening to your problems and is very good at explaining in not too technical terms what is going on and how the treatments will help. However I have two concerns with his practice. First of all he schedules you for a lot of ultra sounds and other tests which I feel are unnecessary every time you visit which in my case was several times a year. Second he treated me for an enlarged prostate and gave me Finasteride to help shrink my prostate. What he didn't do was tell me one of the adverse side effects was the inability to have or keep an erection and a loss in sexual ability, desire, drive or performance. After several weeks I developed these symptoms and when I went back to see him he denied my now ED symptoms were the cause of my taking the Finasteride he prescribed. If he ever prescribe this medication please go on line and verify the side effects which I did after I started having ED problems. To make matters worse he recommended I see an ED specialist which is part of the same Urology practice and this new doctor admitted that Finasteride will cause ED. His solution was a $12,000 penal implant to correct my ED problem. I will not return to this practice because Dr Patel was not honest with me and denied the adverse effects of Fianestride even after I showed him the reports from I Mayo Clinic which I found on line. Did he have an alternative motive for prescribing this drug when this practice has a $12,000 solution to cure ED. You be the judge.
