Ratings for Dr. Theodore J. Maniatis
Front staff not friendly at all. Nurses are wonderful. To make a long story short, I developed slight emphysema, which was on my chest scan report that I had just discussed with doc but he never mentioned. His office blew me off for a few weeks of my calling then said doctor wanted me to come back in for breathing test. Obviously, it was all CYA because he wasn't worried before I complained. I finally went to 2 other doctors for an answer and both stated that he was sending me for unnecessary chest scans and showed me that radiologist stated on every report, going back 3 years, that NO Further testing was needed. They said that the radiation was hurting me, more than helping watch some nodules that were clearly stable.
In response to the previous post. I have been a patient of DR Maniatis for over four years. He is the most knowledgeable, caring and professional DR that I feel has provided me with outstanding care. I can understand how the previous poster felt when dealing with end of life decisions concerning aging parents..I too was there. His concern is always what's best for his patient. However, I do agree with your coment regarding how does he sleep at night? I often wonder that myself. With his around the clock dedication to all of his patients between the hospital and his office when does he sleep? Please think twice befor you publicly condemn such a highly respected Doctor. I hope anyone who reads this and has been considering consulting with DR Maiatias will continue to do so and not be discouraged by the previous post. Your guaranteed to have the best of care. The office staff is great. Never a long wait and call's are always returned promptly.
