I went to the emergency room 3 times with the same problem that was getting worse. It was continuously misdiagnosed as spider bites or unknown rash- no one ever took a biopsy even though asked. Finally I went to the emergency room where my primary care doctor was associated and had been seeing him there at this hospital for 10 years. It seemed worth the extra 15 miles to go from Marin county to san francisco on the other side of the golden gate bridge.Upon arrival at the emergency room I could clearly hear Dr Fee say, "She came all the way here from Marin for a spider bite...." and then his voice trailed off. So the upshot of this visit was that he refused to come in the cubical to even see me. The only way I got his name was to get a record of this visit from the records department. The nurse he sent in shouted at me- "I will not take a biopsy" That was her FIRST statement. She must have taken her cue from Dr Fee as to how to treat me. I eventualy was diagnosed with Sweet's syndrome by the same medical center but only after being admitted to hospital because the
