Purports to be an expert on Aspergers Syndrome, yet doesn't seem to understand that you shouldn't spring surprises on people with Aspergers. When we showed up for assessment, we were TOLD (not asked, TOLD) that a student would be sitting in on our initial assessment. This shows a gross lack of respect for patient rights, and patient sensitivities--Aspergers or not. For the record, Dr Geller, we'd prefer you ASK us if this is all right, before the student enters the room, rather than TELLING us, with the student present how things are going to be. This is quite basic stuff. Now that student has learned a very bad lesson about how to treat patients. It helps when mentors model respect. We found help elsewhere.
