Following graduation, Dr. Mills was a dentist in the NAVY for four and a half years with tours in Norfolk, VA, Parris Island, SC and Guam. Dr. Mills� post-doctorate training was in all areas of general dentistry. She has also completed certification in Invisalign for straightening teeth without braces.\n\nDr. Mills is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, Big Lick Study Club and the Roanoke Valley Dental Society. Dr. Mills was the program coordinator for the Roanoke Valley Dental Society from 2007-2008.\n\nDrs. Mills and Shannon have been married since 1998 and have two sons. When they moved to Salem, they were associate dentists for about two years. They began their own private practice following the retirement of Drs.
