Ratings for Dr. Stephen E. Doran
Worst surgeon ever. His exact wording was anyone in Omaha could do my surgery and be successful as it was an easy case. After he performed the surgery I was in more pain than before and he refused to listen. He even told my husband after my surgery in the hospital that I would be going home in 30 minutes and would be dancing. I was in the hospital for another 3 days with pain so intense I couldn't move. It was horrible. The pain always got worse when I was upright. Finally after 2 months of my insisting there was still something wrong as the pain always increased terribly when I was on my feet he ordered an upright mri and found out the disk was still pushing on the nerve. Like I didn't know that as I was living it. He never would admit his mistake but previous to the mri accused me of not wanting to go back to work. Because I was in so much pain I went in for a revision surgery and he left me in even more pain. The nerves at l4/l5 s1 were permanently damaged during that surgery and will never be normal again. I'm left with this for my entire life. I definitely would not recommend him or his staff.
Wonderful surgeon with exceptional bedside manner. The surgery relieved my pain and I could not be happier. Staff at the clinic is also very professional and friendly. I would and have recommended him to others in a heartbeat. Thanks again and God Bless!!
Brilliant doctor & highly skilled surgeon. Quick, accurate diagnosis & treatment. In search of a neurosurgeon, was recommended to Dr Doran by several trusted medical professionals, a decision that saved my life and well-being. Great team & staff -- compassionate & thorough explanations of diagnosis & treatments. Kudos to Dr Doran and PA Julie Welsh for promptly following up with me (the same day) on multiple messages, issues & refills -- always receptive to my concerns. Superior team & definitely most positive medical experience I've encountered in over 40 years. Highly recommend Dr Doran and staff.
