Ratings for Dr. Harvey N. Lisgar
Excellent doctor! I've been going to Dr. Lisgar for years, He's the best! To the reviewers complaining about having to wait to be seen sometimes: I usually get seen in a timely manner, but I will admit to sometimes having to wait. I don't mind. I've also always been able to get a same day appointment when I am sick.. Ask yourself this: Would you rather wait 45 minutes for an excellent doctor, or 5 minutes for a mediocre doctor? I'd rather wait to be seen by an excellent doctor. Yes he does make small talk with his patients. He probably does this for a reason, other than his nature to always being friendly. He's getting to know his patients, which can also help him when making a diagnosis. Lost your job? Planning a move? Maybe you're under additional stress etc. When a doctor knows his patient, even little bits of info via small talk, helps him know whats going on with you. Office staff is wonderful. Carol, has been working in the office for years. I think she did retire. They asked her to come back from retirement because she is excellent at her job. She is very friendly and knows all the patients by name in the office. My only selfish advice for Dr. Lisgar: Please don't ever retire!
Office staff is nasty and rude. Especially the older grey haired lady that's been there forever. Time to retire maybe. Dr Lisgar is very caring about his patients, he takes time and addresses your questions and concerns. He takes the time and sends you for preventative testing if needed. Sweet man with bad staff. If you leave this practice you are no longer welcome to return... it's an office policy apparently. Maybe being affiliated with Doylestown Hospital will change things. Sad
Dr. Lisgar is available to his patients 24/7. He will spend as much time as a person needs to address their concerns. He is a great diagnostician and a caring person. His staff is like a family to each other and to the patients. The wait time may be longer than expected because everyone gets as much time as needed.
Probably the most disorganized and unprofessional medical practice I've been to. Average wait is over 50 minutes. Staff are a bunch of chattering young girls that make errors taking vitals. Doc brings them into the exams, has them reviewing test results for him. Front office is unfriendly and disorganized. Office is cramped with cheap furniture. Doc puts effort into making small talk and bring friendly but that's not what I'm looking for.
I have been seeing Dr. Lisgar for years. I moved and will still travel to see him. Yes, you will wait to be seen, but he will give you his undivided attention and care that is worth it. He even helped me when I had a problem when I was in Washington DC. Worth every second of wait.
Dr Lisgar is a wonderful doctor. He takes his time with each patient and my visits have always been a great experience. As far as customer service - Dr. Lisgar, and his office staff, go above and beyond! His office assistant even knows me by name, and I'm not there all that much. I highly reccommend. Dr. Lisgar, and his staff, gets nothing less than 5 stars.
