Ratings for Dr. Jason Postula-Stein
I go to Postula-Stein as my regular doctor. I really like him a lot. He spends at least thirty minutes in the room with me (but I have a mystery disease no one can figure out) He seems genuinely concerned and we've been trying to get to the bottom of my puzzle for a while now. Very nice man and professional. I would definitely recommend him.
I think Dr Postula-Stein is one of the nicest Drs I have seen in a long time. There may be an wait at times but he gives each patient the time they need. He has called me at home when I was very sick to see how I am doing, how many Drs can you say that about. His staff is very nice, sometimes over stressed but it is a busy office. I highly recommend him and his partner Dr. Nathan Bloch
Postula-Stein is friendly but doesn't exude a real sense of competency. He seems knowledgeable only to a degree and was not as communicative about diagnosis and advice as I had hoped--had to pull information out of him with questions and was left office visit wishing I had garnered more information
Office is always running late (both Northville and South Lyon offices are late, though Northville seems worse). I've never waited less than 15-25 minutes, often more like 45. They seem to have too many patients. Office staff and many of the nurses at both locations are unhelpful and have occasionally been downright rude to me, including instances where *they* messed up and acted like it was my fault. It is difficult to get anything done there, including referrals, prescription refills, etc. even when you follow their many stated rules. Postula-Stein himself is friendly but not particularly sensitive or knowledgable. He has often had to call in other doctors in the group to my appointments to get another opinion, which isn't awful but it happened several times for simple things. Postula-Stein may be a decent person, but given the unprofessionalism of the others in the office he's not spectacular enough of a doctor to make it worthwhile.
