Dr. Ziemann put a crown in. Porcelain, a nice one, hasn't caused a problem, true art. But his office has problems in other areas. Staff can be cranky, I always got put out on hold on the phone for extended periods of time, and appointments run late. So they're disorganized or overworked, I'm not sure which, or where the onus lies. Some of the equipment was just standard. The office has garish, oversized leather furniture with an entire wall of rococo style mirrors, picked by a relative. And the office reeks intolerably of artificial fragrance, I would leave the office saturated from it, it exacerbated my asthma. And the property owner's idea of handicap parking looks like just an afterthought, a spot added behind the garbage dumpster where your car sticks out at the rear end. You can also see that offices on the top floor, where there are other medical offices, are accessed by a very steep ramp that isn't ADA compliant... No one disabled would be able to be a patient on the top floor, maybe not even the subfloor, where Dr. Ziemann is. Dr. Ziemann's office is below ground level, with stairs. He charged me more than any other dentists for a porcelain crown and when I asked why, his explanation was about his personal life, and I don't think patients should have to pay more for the kind of reasons he gave me, I'd rather not say here what the reasons were. So, if you want a very nice crown and have extra money to burn, and extra time to wait on the phone and in the office, and you're not disabled, and don't mind a cranky receptionist... maybe he's worth it. I didn't go back, though. Just way too overpriced, I'm not financially responsible for his personal life, and the office support is either disorganized or short-staffed, also not my problem, and he uses just standard equipment.

Dr. Ziemann is good, don't get me wrong. His staff can be a little flaky, though. They are friendly but very used to the phrase, "Can you hold on a second?" It doesn't matter if you're checking in, checking out, calling in, (sometimes they call you and have to say that) or whatever but you end up always being asked to wait a second. The one thing I can say for sure is that I dread having to go in because I know that my 10:00 appointment may not actually be addressed until 10:30 so I didn't go many times while in college for that reason. Dr. Ziemann himself is affable and quick but I never not wait when I go in. If you arrive early, you're only adding to your wait time. The wait time probably wouldn't be so bad if you could do something in the waiting room--it's the place where cell phone reception goes to die.
