Ratings for Dr. George D. Keckeisen
I would suggest that you get a second opinion! My elderly but quite healthy mother consulted him about a minor unrelated problem (which he misdiagnosed), and was told out of the blue that she needed immediate abdominal surgery for an umbilical hernia, a condition for which she had no symptoms at all, no bulge, no pain, nothing. And for good reason -- she didnt have a hernia, nothing even close, according to the excellent, ethical, experienced and highly regarded doctor who gave her a second opinion. But Keckeisen apparently frightened her about the possibility of this non-existent hernia becoming strangulated and getting gangrene, and pushed her to get scheduled to go under his knife within the week. Whew: what a close call! Thank goodnes she got a second opinion. Be sure to get one yourself!
Treated my father for a blocked artery in the leg/groin area a few years ago. He will have to go back for similar surgery in his neck. We were very pleased with the thoughtful and personal care we received. Surgery was successful with no complications. We were given very good explanations of the medical conditions my father was going through.
