Dr. Chad is awesome! I have 2 boys and 1 girl. Boys are in their early teens and girl is under 5. He is so genuine with all 3 children. He knows how to talk to them to make them feel special. The office staff is kind and so are the hygienists. It's really a calming environment. Also, it's a family orientated practice owned by a husband and wife and now Dr. chad's sister, also a pediatric dentist has joined the team. I love bringing my kids here and have nothing but respect and kind things to say about this office!
Love Dr. Chad. We have been taking our 3 DD's to him for the past 4 years. He is always compassionate and helpful. I like how he always asks if my questions have been answered at the end of each appointment. His office ladies are so sweet. Too bad other individuals feel the need to use this website to complain. One person sounds like he/she was mad because his/her child was referred to Dr. Chad (a specialist) and he found more work....at least he was ethical and told the parent about this. Another is complaining because he/she had an appointment for 3 children and only brought 1 of them. That is just pure disrespect to any doctor/dentist and their time. The last one is a GRANDPARENT complaining about their grandchild's dental insurance company. Sounds like PARENT of the child should be calling to complain to the insurance company. All I have to say is positive things about this office, and I will continue to spread the love!
I have been taking my 3 year old son to Dakota Pediatric Dentistry for about a year now (3 visits total) and we have had nothing but the best experiences at that office. The whole staff is so friendly and really make you feel welcome. I have seen both doctors now and they both take the time to answer my questions and never make me feel rushed. They have a fun play area that is perfect for my son, but they have fun toys for all age groups and great reading material. The girls up front always have a smile on their face. At my most recent visit they even offered me a bottle of water with their logo on it and that was the icing on the cake. I can't wait for my 10 month old little girl to turn 1 so we can bring her in for her first cleaning!
My 3 yr old grandson was seen by Dr Hoge. Hoge said he needed 8 crowns in back teeth & fillings on 4 front teeth. Price quote= $1700 out-of-pocket + $1200 more billed to insurance. During surgery, while child was under anesthesia, Hoge called TWICE to recommend more expensive procedures: white fillings instead of metal & 4 more crowns instead of fillings on front teeth. We refused upgrades. Insurance paid full amount billed ($1200) & we PREpaid $1700 out-of-pocket BEFORE surgery (as required) to pay bill in full. Two weeks after surgery, received another bill for over $500. Called office & got transferred to 'Allison' who was EXTREMELY rude; told additional fillings were needed (2 surfaces vs 1 on a front baby tooth, 3 surfaces vs 2 on a second front baby tooth). We questioned treatment/asked for adjustment, she refused to even consider. Asked to speak w/supervisor: she refused. Left # - no call back. Two days later, letter arrived: "will no longer treat you, find another dentist".
I have been taking my children to Dr. Chad since he first opened. I have one child that is extremely nervous getting dental work done. Dr. Chad is a very calming influence and makes the whole process much more bearable. I'm surprised there are negative comments at all about Dr. Chad, because our experience with him has been awesome. One of the best things about him is that he doesn't perform work unless he thinks it will have a long-term impact on the children's permanent teeth.
We showed up for an early morning apppt after a holiday weekend for 3 of my children. 2 of them could not come because of an end of school field trip that morning that we had forgot about. Because the dentist office was closed SAT, SUN, MON, I was unable to cancel within the 24 Hrs. When Chad found out they were not with me he stopped me in the hallway in front of my daughter and a few staff members with a raised voice and asked why my sons were not with me, and that it was inappropriate and unacceptable. Subsequently my daughter and I left due to the tone that was set by Chad and the nervous nature of my daughter. When we got in the car and drove away she started crying and was very saddened at the way chad treated us. My daughter has spacers in her mouth installed by this office and we were advised through a receptionist that chad thought it would be of our best intrest to find another dentist. We had never canceled before. I have to say that we are very dissappointed.
